Don't shoot me; I know I'm a little lymphedema obsessed...

Does everyone who had/has breast cancer always have to worry about lymphedema? Does nobody shave their legs or pits? What do you do? Use electric shaver?

I don't want to do anything wrong but wonder if I'm going overboard?

I use a razor on legs and arm pits. Just very carefully doing so. Maybe I have a good immune system because I'm always getting cat scratches on my LE hand and no problems.

I use VEET (sensitive skin formula with aloe) lotion hair remover for underarms, and I shave my legs. My doctors approved.

I shave my pits and my legs. I have mild LE ... I still shave with a razor - I don't like the electric one that I bought at the beginning of this journey. I don't care if it's right or wrong, I've given up so much... I want my pits smooth! LOL!

i used an electric razor for a while, but it was chafing my skin, so I went back to my Daisy razor and  use shave cream.  So far, so good. I do only shave about every 2-3 weeks though. I have sensitive skin and too much shaving irritates the skin.  As for legs, I shave them like twice a week,,, no issues there with Daisy razor.

You don't have to worry about LE your legs or your other arm, just the quadrant of the affected side. I still shave (very carefully on that side) with a good, gentle ladies razor and lots of shaving cream. I don't have that much much hair anymore (I guess that could be considered a 'good' SE of chemo, anti-hormonals & aging) so pretty much leave the armpits alone until it is time to drag out the sleeveless tops.
