Get together in SE Michigan Late April, 2015
Four of us from the Arimidex forum (Mary59G, NancyHB and cwayman650 are hoping to get together towards the end of April some place between Jackson and Ann Arbor. Since two of us are in the Jackson area, that might make sense. Would anyone else like to join us?
We have no date, day or anything else - just a deserve to meet and have a wonderful time. Since we all seem to be very chatty, I suspect it will be a nice, long leisurely lunch

I can't wait, how about we peach pick 2 dates and figure out if everyone can make it?
I'll pick Saturday's April 18th or the 25th? Just throwing them out there, the days during the week are fine also, but I know these 2 Saturday's are good for me also.

Those Saturdays are fine as are days during the week. I'm retired. We're on our way!
-
good evening!! I think those dates may work for me too - I'll check my calendar tomorrow and let you know. Thanks for spearheading this effort Peggy
-
Nancy, do you have any thoughts for someplace to go? I think you're pretty mid-distance between Kalamazoo and Pontiac.
I'm glad that we've gotten this off the ground. It's something to look forward to.
HUGS!!!
-
Both dates work for me. I still work. I don't know much about what's in Ann Arbor I live closer to Jackson. Can check with my sister in law. She goes to Ann Arbor allot. Can't wait to meet you all.
-
Does someone want to choose which date? Cway, my thought was Jackson since you and Nancy live near there. Do you have an idea for where to meet? This ought to be fun!
-
There are a few nice places around here. If everyone is comfortable, Sandhill Crane is a vineyard that does wine tasting, and has great food too.

There is a place called In Good Company on 127S in Clarklake; have never been there but hear really good things about it.
We can check out other places, too, if these don't work for everyone.
-
Both sound good. I find the menu more appealing at Good Company. However, visiting a vineyard is also very appealing. Good ideas, Nancy!!!
On Edit, the more I think about it, the more I lean towards visiting the vineyards - assuming no one objects. Please say so if you would not be comfortable going there. Please.
HUGS!
-
I'll be fine where ever you girls pick!!
Mary
-
Since Nancy seems to think the vineyard would work well, why don't we go there, Mary?
Cwayman650, is that okay with you?
Now we need to decide if we want the 18th or 25th. I'm fine with either date.
-
Sounds great, wither date works for me............
Looking forward to the meet and greet!
Mary

I think we need to decide on a date. Maureen1 from DeWitt is going to join us. So now we are 5. Maybe we'll find more BCO members to come.
Nancy would you make the reservations? Try for the 18th but go with the 25th if that isn't available. Tell the vineyards that we may expand beyond 5. Or do you think we should wait another week before doing the reservations?
HUGS!
Peggy
-
I'll check their schedule for both dates. They don't take reservations so if more join, we'll have plenty of space! I'll let you know what I find out later
-
Thanks, Nancy!!!!
-
Ladies, shall we meet April 18th? About 11 or 11:30? At Sandhill Crane Vineyards, Jackson. Have an opinion? Please let me know. Looking forward to seeing you all!
-
Thanks everyone for making the arrangements for this get together! I look forward to meeting you:) Maureen

Sounds great April 18th 11:30 on my calendar.......Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Sounds good to me. Sorry I've been away. Family illness with a poor outcome. Very unexpected. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone. Who knows, we may still be there at super time. Lol
-
Oh, Carolynn, I'm so sorry. What a rough time you've had. Wish I could be there with you to hold you. HUGS!!!
I suspect you're right. We are all pretty darned chatty. The vineyards may have to kick us out!
-
I can't wait for our meet up. How many are there coming? I'm going to ask the, 'breast nurse' from work. She is the one who advised me to check out this group. She's awesome. She goes wth women after diagnosis to Dr. appts. and answers questions and gives women a great support person to get info from.
-
Carolynn, there will be 5 of us. Now 6 with your nurse navigator. She's welcome to come. My nurse navigator was nice and helpful but I wouldn't have wanted her at my appointments, she is rather passive, but I've been glad to have her help. Glad yours is great!
Looking forward to our meet up!
-
Good evening - sorry I haven't been around lately, wanted to check in really quickly!
Very excited to meet up with everyone next weekend - I look forward to the in-person connection!
Nancy
-
It's getting closer, isn't it, Nancy? It will be wonderful to put faces with the familiar names and really get to know each other and, of course, have a great time. Sure would be nice if spring was really with us! HUGS!
-
Looking forward to Saturday, can't wait to meet and greet and share stories!!
Hugs see you all then!
Mary
-
Me, too!!!
-
It's a long shot, but I might be joining you. I live in Oregon, but need to take care of some things for my mother in Indiana with Parkinsons. If I am free on Saturday, I will try to make it up there. I won't know until I get to Indiana what my time constraints are. Would love to meet some of you!
-
GypsyJo, that would be fantastic! I'll PM my phone number to you. BTW, that will make 3 of us with Parkinson's in the family. Mary's DH had Parkinson's and my DH has it. Rotten disease! HUGS!!
-
Would love to have you join us gypsyjo! Where in Indiana will you be?
Mary
-
I'm so excited to meet everyone this Sat. See you all there.
