Wondering
I TNBC and am 40. I have no family history of breast cancer and I do not have brca1 or brca2 gene also I am not African American or Hispanic. Is it common for a person to have TNBC without matching ANY of the so called risk factors?

Angles--I have a friend that may fit your description. She's in her forties, white ethnicity, no genetic connections to the disease. I know of another who is a teacher and friends with one of my family members. I can't say how common it is, but women like you are out there. I'm sorry you are going through this and I hope you find the answers you need. Take care.

Angels, like you I have no family history, am Caucasian, BRCA negative. I was 36 at diagnosis.

I see you had double mastectomy. Did your cancer return? By your username I'm guessing you have dobermans?? I have been looking for one for a long time but no one in my area breeds them. I love them too!!

I'm white, no family history, no brca genes and triple negative.

There are lots of us out here who not fit the "normal" profile for TNBC.
