stopping tamoxifen to harvest eggs

Hello friends,

Is there anyone out there that has done this? I just started on the tamoxifen after the chemo and I'm thinking of all this. My husband and I aren't certain we want children now, but I'd like to have the option in the future. I'm sure my oncologist would say no bc my cancer was aggressive. I was just wondering if anyone else was in this situation. I should have taken the time to do it before the chemo, but I was just so scared I figured then that it didn't matter.

    i stopped tamoxifen after a year to try and conceive. Luckily I did so naturally and have a 2 month old and just restarted tam. Onc will never give you their blessing and I would be worried if they wanted to pump you full of hormones for retrieval. If this is what you want go for it!! I couldn't afford freezing before chemo because even with assistance it was too expensive
