Arimidex and joint pain
I have always been fit and active throughout my life. I was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 50 (post menopause) and had a mastectomy of my right breast in March 2013. I had no issues with joint pain (but did have hot flashes) the first year. Then after being on Arimidex for just over a year (the first year I was on the generic version) I had joint pain like I never imagined. Most notable when I woke and rose from bed, or after sitting for even short periods of time. The pain has been in my fingers, my ankles, my knees and my hip. My doctor suggested higher doses of a particular Vitamin C which did not help at all.
About 60 days ago I started taking Gaia Herbs - Turmeric Supreme Joint supplement, and cannot believe the difference. My pain is at a minimum and I am able to exercise and enjoy daily life without the level of pain. I am so happy to feel better that I signed on to create this account simply to share this information with others. Would love to hear if it helps anyone else.
Feeling overjoyed... and a bit more like my old self!

Glad you found a solution! I am on Femara, having switched from Arimidex because of joint pain, and currently trying raisins soaked in gin to help with arthritis pains. Sine I like both raisins and gin, it seems like a workable solution

Thanks for letting us know. It has tumeric and black pepper which is a good combination for the body to absorb it. The only thing I see it has soy lecithin which is still a debate whether it is good for breast cancer or not. I guess we will never know for sure. I am glad it is working for you. I have recently started on Arimidex and I have a feeling the joint pain will start shortly as a side effect. Thanks again for sharing your experience.

I had similar experience with Tumeric/Curcumin. My SIL sent me a bottle of Curamed by Terry Naturally. It has large amounts of Tumeric/Curcumin. I have only been on med about 6 months but had SEs with joint pain after just a few weeks on Arimidex. The stiffness was horrible and I felt old and crickety. Then they seemed to fade away. I only felt stiffness on occasion. I realized it was the Curamed helping after I went of it twice for 2 weeks each as I was advised to take no med/supplements before my surgeries. Symptoms returned in just a few days...went away about the same.
