Just wondering if anyone read this? I feel pretty confident they have my diagnosis right because I had two different hospitals do biopsies and both said the same thing.

    Yes, I saw it last night....right after I had my core needle biopsy. :)

    Not sure what to do when I get the results back...if I should automatically go for a second opinion with another pathologist, or just trust the results, or what.

    It depends on what they say you had, I think. If they say you have DCIS, then yeah, maybe.

    thanks for posting. I did have biopsies but they were not sure if they got the right area, lost the calcifications. All five samples came back benign and some (don't know how many) did have signs of the calcifications but I am waiting to see if the radiologist wants to do more. I want it to happen.....

    Bendi, more samples wouldn't help the examples in the article.

    Pathologist are actually misreading the ones they had. The biggest discrepancies were in atypia diagnoses.

    If your samples had calcifications it sounds like they got the area they intended to
