Please pray for my MIL
I came home from the hospital last Sunday and received a call from my MIL less than an hour from being at home. She requested that both my husband and myself get on the phone because she needed to talk to us. She then told us she had gone for a mammo the prior week and they discovered calcifications. Now, she is scheduled for a biopsy this coming Tues, Sept 26. Both dh and I were completely blown away by this and can't believe it. It feels epidemic to me. We did break down and tell her about my experience which totally shocked her.
I'm writing to ask for prayers for her that it's B9. She has a great positive attitude and I'm hoping that everything is OK. This is such a heavy load for my dh and our family.
I know that all the prayers and support from the "sisterhood" has helped me tremendously and I greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
Cathy

I am soooo sorry for what you and your family are going thru. It can all be so overwhelming. I am sending prayers for you and all your family that each and everyone of you will be well and cancer free.

Cathy, my heart goes out to you and your family. Of course I will pray that your MIL's lump is benign and that you and your family find peace in your sorrow.
Gentle hugs,
suzie -
Thanks to all for the prayers.
I'm not sure if she will be able to make her appt today. She ended up in the ER and hospital on Sunday. She was having severe back and hip pain. She had an MRI yesterday and was still in severe pain last night. I think her biopsy was at a different facility. Now this means more waiting for all of us.
Thanks again, you ladies are so wonderful and supportive.

Wow Cathie..we live in similar worlds! My fil had leukemia and was in Washington last Fall w/ my mil. He was going to have a bone marrow transplant, but ended up having a rupturned colon. In the midst of all of this I was dx'd w/ reoccurance of bc. We didn't tell them for about a month after my dx. My fil ended up dying in Dec. It's been so difficult for my mil, but she helped me so much. She has also had cancer... kidney and gets checked every 6 months. It's all so scarey. I am praying for your mil!! Why does it all seem to have to pile on when something happens. HUGS, Michelle

Michelle:
Thanks for sharing. What a load. It ended up that my MIL has a disc problem in her back so she's been on all kinds of meds. This will prevent her from her biopsy until she can stop all the meds that may have aspirin products at least 7 days prior to the biopsy.
Hugs to you also.
Cathy -
your family has been through alot. when my mom was diagnosed with bc both my aunts were diagnosed with lung cancer.
praying for b9 god bless -
Cathy~ I'm so sorry she has to wait to be tested. Fear of the unknown is much worse than actually 'knowing' and dealing w/ it! I pray it is nothing. You have all been thru enough! Has your mil ever tried acupuncture. My mil also has disc problems. She retired from nursing a few years ago, but the acupuncture helped her for a few years dealing w/ the pain. She is doing much better w/ her back, but has to be extremely careful. She really didn't want to do surgery. She said if it hadn't been for the acupuncture she would have had to retired years earlier. Just thought I'd give you a suggestion. Please let us know when your mil has her test!! hugs!!!

I am sorry that your family is going through so much right now. Hope your MIL gets benign results.
