what to expect for pre-op appointment

Hi! I have an appointment on Monday morning to go over what I plan on doing for surgery as well as schedule my surgery date. Since the doctor said it would be my choice, so unless this stupid thing spread into my lymph nodes, I am going to do a lumpectomy. Do you know what kind of tests they will do for the pre-op stuff? They plan on also doing all of that Monday so anything you can offer would be helpful!

    Hi. I think it depends on what kind of shape you're in now. I had no blood work or tests done before surgery last week, but the hospital did call and ask a TON of health questions, which seemed especially focused around any potential heart, lung, sleep apnea, and stomach issues. She said that based on my answers I don't need any testing done. My pre-op appt with the BS was quick - she just looked to see if she could still feel the lump and we reviewed what would happen during surgery (I had lumpectomy w/ SNB).
