Dealing with skin discoloration

I wondered if anyone had any makeup or skincare tips for dealing with these brown spots on my face. They look like age spots when they're on my cheeks or around my eyes, but now this is this blob of darkness right next to my mouth and I'm embarrassed by it. It sounds so petty in light of the cancer so I hope this post doesn't offend anyone! My heritage is Irish/Scandinavian so I'm already extremely pale and these spots really show up on me.

Catlady, I developed them too. They're on my face, on my palms, and one spot on the bottom of my left foot. When I showed my oncodoc he laughed and asked how the heck I saw the one on the bottom of my foot.

I am using Kat Von D lock it concealor and Estée Lauder Double wear foundation. Between the two you can't see a single spot. They last all day too.

    Hope this helps.

Thx for the tip! Does that concealer settle into fine lines? I'll look into that. I have some Dermablend already so maybe I will give that a try. Thx again!

Hi catlady. If you're patient, the brown spots can be lightened with a combination of lemon juice, aloe vera, and sweet almond oil. It takes a long time, but does work if you hang in there. Rub lemon juice on the brown spot, follow with a light layer of aloe vera gel all over, then top off with sweet almond oil for some moisture. The lemon juice bleaches the brown spots, the aloe regenerates skin cells and the almond oil helps regenerate and provides moisture. Check the labels on the aloe vera....not all are as pure as they claim in the bold print. I like Lily Of The Desert brand "gelly". The sweet almond oil can be found at any health food store. Oh, and as a bonus it makes wrinkles less obvious too.

P.S. Since you're light-skinned, concentrate the lemon juice on the brown spots only.

I will give it a try. I'm trying to stay away from any extra chemicals on my face, so I like your recommendation. Anything to help with fine lines is great! My skin is super sensitive right now.
