So I found out yesterday That I am HER2 negative. I was so glad to hear that and I got the results that I am ER and PR +. My tumor is at least 2.5 cm so bigger than I first thought but so far from the ultrasound and the physical exam it doesn't seem that it has spread to the lymph nodes.

My doctor is now going to complete a Mammaprint test and I have an MRI scheduled for Monday. I have my meeting with the genetic counselor for tomorrow since my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer when she was 40 and now I was was diagnosed at 44.

Depending on the Mammaprint results my doctor thinks I may need neoadjuvant chemo. This scares me to pieces but I guess I can get through it.

My mom had a lumpectomy and radiation 25 years ago and never had a recurrence so in my head I thought that is what I will do too but depending on the test results that might not be the best option.

All of the unknown is anxiety inducing. I've been a hot mess waiting for results. People say don't worry until you know more, but it's hard not to be anxious. All we can do is hope for the best. I hope for the best for you, and me, and all of us. Be well.

Well, I am having surgery on Monday.  Right now I'm clinically Stage 1, Grade 1, but after surgery they will give me a Pathology Stage, which I hope is STILL Stage 1.

Good luck! Are you having a lumpectomy?

Cmo, I hope you have a good weekend! Monday will go better than you are thinking, it is always worse until we know. Knowledge is power, and you will know what you are looking at. It will help with the out of control thinking for you. I like to know what is coming at me, I feel like I have choices, and I know what they are talking about. If you are looking at chemo, you can look at www.chemocare.com it has all of the drugs listed there for you. I am sending all the good vibes I have for you. Just remember you are never alone here, 24/7. Take Care
