Surgery almost 5 years ago. Lump found today at routine visit. Ultrasound is complete waiting to talk with surgeon, they want to biopsy. Since I did have reconstruction they are concerned about biospy. Anyone every have lump that was not fat necrosis?

I found a lump, 18 months after my Umx, no recon. I had an U/S guided stereotactic biopsy and it turned out to be a cyst.

All the best, I hope it is as benign as mine was! Let us know how you get on.

I had a Umx in Sept 2011. One month ago I found a lump on that side. Contacted PS and then BS. Biopsy found cancer. Had 2.2 cm tumor removed 2/23. Pathology report ER/PR/HER2+ Stage 2. I see the Oncologist tomorrow but my BS already said I would need chemo, radiation and hormone therapy. Don't mess around with any of this..my chances of recurrence were only 1%. Best of luck to you!

I had BMX, chemo, and Tamoxifen for a stage 1, node negative, low oncotype tumor.

14 months after starting Tamoxifen, found a lump near my original one. bS was sure it was scar tissue but PS biopsied it. BC had returned, despite all odds. Then during surger for further excision, the found a second lump, 6 inches way from the first. It tested positive too. Still waiting for treatment plan. I hope yours is benign, but biopsy is the best option. Best wishes. Keep us posted

Wow 1% - that is very crazy odds. Wishing you all the best. I have a ultrasound guided biopsy on friday 3/13. Praying for nothing more than fat cells.

Keep us posted on how it goes. I'm the 1%, so the next 99 should be good! That hopefully means that yours will be benign :) Praying for all good news for you!

I had a bilat mastectomy 5/2014.  I found two lumps.  One in January 2015 I had excised, fat necrosis.  One in March 2015, had ultrasound guided biopsy, also fat necrosis.  Fingers crossed for you!
