Does BC cause pain? A little survey.

I'm sorry I don't have an answer for you.  My small breast tumor did not cause me any pain.  But what did hurt was the large cyst I had at the time.  And when I had it checked out, the scan found my small tumor.  So finding my cancer was kind of incidental to cyst pain.

yes, I had sharp pain and burning. I have IBC.

My cancer did not cause any pain at all.  But, then, I was stage I with negative nodes, so...?   It was a complete surprise, even to my radiologist.

I had no discomfort. No lump. No clue it was there. Thank goodness for early detection and 3D Mammos.

No pain for me, just a lump. It didn't hurt when I found it and poked at it. But now, after treatment (lumpectomy, chemo and radiation) yowza does my breast ache. My breast surgeon told me that would be normal and that it could happen on and off for my life.

I had pain and thickness and a lump that didn't change when seen through an US. The doc dismissed me in secs and claimed pain was not associated with bc. I asked for a biopsy and t.hey found it. Docs seems to be biased when u mention pain especially if r young. Get an MRI and get a biop it may be nothing mg but better safe then sorry. My experience.

I also had pain ing the beginning when I jumped around and when my son hugged me. Then it started to spread to side of boob where lymph nodes were.

Breast cancer not cause pain! Baloney. It can. My first bc diagnosis involved a tumor that had nerve endings in it, and believe me I had nerve pain shooting down through my arm. My second bc diagnosis which was inflammatory, now that didn't hurt at all. Go figure.

My mother had breast pain for years before she was finally diagnosed. She said she was told over and over that breast cancer didn't cause pain. Her pain was so bad that she would be scared anytime someone would get too close or start to give her a hug. She finally did get a biopsy on a lump they found, but they biopsied the wrong lump and she wasn't diagnosed until 2 years later!

I had a bmx 5 months ago and I had rib and sternum pain the entire time. I had exchange surgery on Jan 14th and still have a lot of pain in my sternum on the left  breast side ( side that had cancer), ps said after exchange that part of the te was le=odged in my right ribs, that pain is gone but why do I still have it in the sternum ?? Also, I cant stand anything touching where my lymph node scar or where my scars are from the 4 drains. I hesitate to say it's painful...but really fing uncomfortable ! So..to answer the question at hand..I cant answer

I definitely felt pain in my DCIS breast and it was exactly where they found it.

I can't remember if there was any pain. I do remember the skin over the lump itching often. Figured it was just another cyst...only the cysts never itched...

Also the cysts had smooth surfaces like marbles while this cancer lump had a surface like a golf ball.

My lump caused pain. It felt like a hard rock. It was on the left side, which was the side I had always slept on. The woman who did my mammo told me it probably wasn't BC because BC usually doesn't cause pain. I hope someday these wives tales will be done away with!

Yes mine was like a deep pain from nipple to chestwall .  Bee sting like at times and also like ovulation pain as weird as it sounds and it  itched at times.  So ya it does hurt reguardless what they say . 

Yes, I had sharp pains for a long time in the right breast, very painful, though did not last long. As time went on, the pains got more frequent and hurt more too. Also got pain in right underarm, where pet scan showed positive nodes along with lobular and ductal tumors in the right breast. The sharp pains felt, like burning, stinging or being jabbed with a sharp object, not fun!!

I had no pain or no lump associated with my DCIS. It was found through my yearly mammogram and confirmed with a stereotactic biopsy. I had no clue. Even though the malignant area was 3cm.
