Every little bump
So ..after poking/feeling away in the early morning I found a pea sized lump on my "good" breast. I have always had issues with breast cysts...and normally I would wait to see what it does but not now. When I brought it up with my MO he felt it (rushed) and told me it was probably nothing but to have my GP check it. I'm so angry by how cavalier he was....He has no idea where I'm coming from nor the time to let me explain that I'm not trying to be over excited...I'm just concerned. Do you get every lump checked now compared to before your dx? My initial dx wasn't something I could feel myself.

Hi JJ - I'm sorry your MO was so dismissive - you'd think of all doctors he would understand! You are NOT over-reacting at all. I would absolutely get every lump checked out - call your GP and get an appointment right away. Let us know how it goes. {{hugs}}

JJ - sorry that your MO dismissed your concern so quickly. I would definitely go to see the GP.
I have been feeling/checking my "good" side too lately and there is this small pea size lump that hurts when I touch it. I know at dx time the good side had some small cysts.
I am going to ask my GP for an u/s. I have my first mammo since dx at the end of the month but my breast is 60% dense so I kind of feel better with doing an u/s.
Keep us posted!

Thank you...I booked my appt with my GP for this Wed. I know I was cystic before but I always waited it out after being told over and over that cysts aren't related to BC. It kind of made me indifferent to the lumps and bumps (my dx was a complete shock...I had a clear mammo 10 months before). I just need a piece of mind and after all this you would think my MO would understand that.

JJ - thinking of you. How did your appointment go on Wednesday? Hoping you heard good news.

Thank you. He is sending me for an US. That was after he told me that I had that breast checked in Dec and that BC doesn't grow that fast. I am so fed up with attitude ...if I didn't get it checked my DH would be angry...and when I do....I get a lecture.

And it's a 5 cm simple cyst....I was always cystic before....just now I'm so jumpy. The techs were great....they didn't make me feel like an over reactive baby...."peace of mind" is priceless.
