Thought I would pop in over here. I've been on tamoxifen for 3 months now. I've had all sorts of fun side effects. I just keep plugging along. I have my next appt. with my MO end of this month. We will see how things go.

I've only been taking Tamoxifen 20 mg for 1-1/2 months and so far have nothing to report.  I was already having hot flashes and they are neither better or worse.

I also have been taken tamoxifen for about 6 weeks. I get a little toasty at times but nothing big. No other side effects to report

Thanks for all the info. I'm starting to think my arm trouble might be muscle related. I'm going to try taking magnesium. I have read that it helps with muscle, joint and sleep issues.

Very informative!  Been on tamox 1 year.  My recent blood work showed my white blood count and vitamin D levels dropped quite a bit.  My cholesterol which was always fine, dropped way down to 135 (I heard that too low is just as bad as too high).  My onco said it's not related to tamox, but I'm sure it has to be.  Otherwise, not much in the way of side effects.

So I'm 11 days on Tamoxifen and have just started having some hot flashes. So far that's all I've noticed but I will update if anything else changes!

I started my Tamoxifen a week or 2 ago. I have hot flashes all the time but that's been all year anyway so nothing new there. Other than that, I don't think I have any horrible side effects.

I found on some website that leg cramps were not bone soreness (my doctor kept prescribing pain killers). These leg cramps responded immediately to muscle relaxants.. (I also drank water with electrolites as my magnesium was low but it did not seem to do much) Hope this helps someone else as I nearly had to quit chemo!

Does anyone have issues with their tailbone? After sitting when I go to stand up it feels like I fell and landed on it hard. I tossed it off but I was told it could be a SE

JJOntario, YES! I even googled it and found that it is known as "Tamoxifen tail"!

I was getting VERY concerned about my tailbone pain (mostly only on one side) until I traced it back to around the time I started Tamoxifen @ 3 months ago. It is really getting to be a nuisance. At first I had trouble finding others that had experienced this because when I would search "butt pain Tamoxifen" I would get a bunch of posts with ladies saying that Tamo was a "pain in the butt" to take! When I searched for "tailbone" I found others with this issue. I go for my check up Monday and plan to ask about it, not that it will get me anywhere. But it's really bothersome, especially when I have to drive any distance. It hurts constantly. While sitting, and to a lesser degree, when standing. I'd love to hear what others have to say. Take care!

Seriously thought I was just falling apart. They need to give us more "awareness" about this stuff. I want to take a pillow into work but I'm not sure how that would look. Def putting one in the car
