I need help with knowing what questions to ask surgeon when getting results from pathology report. I had a sentinel node lumpectomy Monday. I was originally told the size is small 1 cm. but have to wait and see what the nodes look like. While it is scary waiting and often hard to read some of the posts here. I do believe knowledge is power

    Hello Florida, so sorry you haven't had any answers to your question. What was your Dx after your biopsy? That could help with what questions to ask. The appointment you are going to is for the LX pathology results, so I think it will be more about what was found and what your options are for treatment, if chemo or rads are necessary and what the surgical options may be. Do you have someone to go with you? It is good to have another set of ears at these appointments and either record on your phone, or take notes.

    hi. I was told it was stage 1 and that was it and that I would need the sentinel node lumpectomy
