Twohobbies, hope you feel better soon! That cold going around is quite miserable. Love the disco Zumba Ruth..
Went to bootcamp last night and took today as a rest day.
-
Sorry the bug got you TH feel better soon. Sweet hope you get your pep back soon, don't you know those blahs will go away if you get the endorphins revved up. Ruth hope you had a great birthday.
Tonight did Body Pump followed by Body Jam, I broke my little toe last week and tonight like the idiot I am, as I was putting the Pump bar away I knocked my toe with the weighted bar, I saw stars ooee it sure hurt
-
Three mile run followed by a dog walk
-
I am still coughing too, which is why I did a couple of runs as opposed to cycling this past weekend. So busy too. Last night's walk was by moonlight....just gorgeous by the way. Thinking next week, I will be able to sneak in a few weekday runs. That will get my sorry hide moving the way it needs to.
Happy Birthday, Ruth! Make sure you celebrate for at least a month.
Mary, so sorry that your FIL has passed. Wow, I can't believe how your MIL must feel. Few people are that fortunate.
Patoo.....many congrats on the weight loss and getting it all under control. I was reading a book on Stem Cells over the weekend (for work), and amazing the potential. But the majority is to treat long term complications of diabetes. Cancer too. What I was reading is more than enough to get me out the door.
Have the opera tonight. Semele by Handel. So will try to get in early and walk around my old 'hood.
Have a wonderful day everyone! - Claire
-
I need to get back to it. I didn't walk at all yesterday or Monday. Today I will!
Cheryl, we had some hail too. I teach HS math, but when you're in a drought like we've been, Geometry can't compare to rain and hail. We all let our kids out for a few minutes to look and/or get wet.

-
Cheryl, never have seen hail on the beach like that.
Vibe box class at one gym and dashed for a few hours at another gym to study for practical exam this Saturday.
-
Yes, rain and cooler weather here in CA!! Hoping to get a good walk in later!! Cheryl hope your toe feels better soon! I know it must be painful😫 Mary, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
-
BLT's here tonight with onion rings
-
TwoHobbies, Claire & Cheryl's toe, hope you are all feeling better!
Yes, I'm having lots of birthday fun. I had coffee with some friends yesterday morning, went to lunch with DH & DS, and then ate 'concession stand food' at basketball games last night. Today I walked and went to breakfast with my walking ladies, came home, took a quick shower & went lunch with another friend. Tonight we have company coming (not until late, so that means sit around the table & eat snacks when they arrive) and we'll go out for a fancy dinner tomorrow.....hmmmm, is there any doubt as to why I need to exercise?!!!

Speaking of the Wednesday Walking Women, we're still indoors but have the GOAL of getting outside ASAP. I will go to Zumba & yoga tonight because everything's ready for the company. Tomorrow, I will be entertaining, so no exercise for me.
-
1.5 miles at a faster pace for me today. Yay for getting back on track

-
Took tonight off but expecting to get a good shovel and sculpt tomorrow. Big chance I'm not going to make it to work so may also do treadmill as don't want my painter to laugh at me if I do DVD's.
Night sculpted friends.

Patoo, I am sure you are getting weary of the weather, I so remember!! The winter before we moved to CA, we had 36 inches of snow in one day, lake effect , we lived near Lake Michigan on the Indiana side!!! Come visit me any time, but I know you you are so looking forward to the trip in June!!
Ruth, your group has so much fun!! So glad you had a great birthday!!!
Cassiecat, you go Girl!!!
Had a great walk today!!!
-
Great job Cassiecat!
I was at the gym tonight, getting ready for a Muscle Pump class, when DD called and asked me to play tennis instead. It was the first time I've played since November and it felt great
-
30 mins treadmill. Mid 70s here today. Enjoyed the weather by taking a walk with DH after getting my sleeve for lymphedema. I really need it as I feel the heaviness after exercising.
Editted to correct grammar.
-
Belated happy birthday, Ruth! Celebrate 1 day for each year OR exercise 1 minute for each year. That comes out to 1 month or 30 minutes, respectively. Hope your toe is better, Cheryl, and you're feeling better Twohobbies.
Tango Tuesday, Body Jam Wednesday.

Emerging from under the wreckage of our move - cardboard boxes everywhere! We're snowed in today and work is closed, so I get a bonus day to unpack a bit. Just got the PC set up - of course it's sitting on a couple of boxes now, but I've decided that cardboard furniture is my new eco-fashion statement. The house goes on the market on the 12th with an open house that weekend - think good thoughts for a quick sale!!!
Meanwhile, DH escaped the snow yesterday morning and is basking in the warm Southern California sun. His dad's memorial service won't be till next month, but his mom is having a long-scheduled hip replacement surgery next week, so he went out there to help her get things organized before surgery. Plus I think there was a need for more than a few hugs to be exchanged.
Ruth, belated Happy Birthday!
I stared chemo 7 years ago this week. Hard to believe.
Still don't have the DVD player set up and can't run outside in the snow and ice, but I'm getting more than enough exercise with lugging boxes. Can't wait to get settled and back into routine.
-
Wow, I just realized my last post was the 24,000 post in this thread. Pretty awesome
-
Rowed on the machine after work last night. Ordered a new yoga DVD which should arrive today. I will probably row again when I get home tonight and then try out the new DVD tomorrow. Got 6 inches of snow here overnight.......I'm getting tired of it but I can't really complain because we could be in New England!
-
finished 35 minutes on treadmill today. And a plan to take a nice walk with DH to enjoy this beautiful weather we are having. It is again in the mid 70s at least thorugh the weekend.
Natsfan, that is pretty awesome.
-
Happy belated birthday Ruth!! Hope the house sells quickly, Natsfan.
Went to bootcamp last night since the forecast was not conducive for going today. Heavy snow today so no bootcamp tonight.
-
Field trip with school today and I racked up over 10,000 steps! Woo hoo!!! Nice to know I can do it. Just need some fun company and some destinations in mind to make it happen. Treadmill? Not so much...

-
Walked to radiation, ran after work and then walked the dogs after dinner. Still doesn't make up for the calories in the creme brûlée DH made tonight
-
CassieCat it was a gorgeous day for a field trip. Mary good luck with the unpacking and fingers crossed for a quick sale. Odie / Martha hope the snow melts quickly it's almost spring
Body Jam tonight.
-
Ruth, happy belated birthday and Mary-well done on the move and hoping for a swift sale. TwoHobbies, get fully better quick and Cheryl, jammin on, you go girl! It's amazing to read of the snow in the US that keeps on dumping. We have had no snow for the last two winters and this past one was the sunniest winter on UK record. Global warming (I can only assume)?
Been working out daily yet I'm fully immersed in studying for my final exams and practical assessment for level 2 fitness instructor that I'll be taking tomorrow. This course of study has certainly churned the old grey matter and brought up (in spades) every insecurity and vulnerability I have about myself. Next week, will move on the level 3 medical referral, where I learn to personal train those sent to the gym by a GP. Off to crack the books..
-
More unpacking and Shovel N Sculpt yesterday and this morning - they take care of all the shoveling in the new place, but I had to go back to the house to shovel out. It's a nice balmy 16 degrees here this morning. DH is safely in So Cal - I told him on the phone last night that if he tells me one more time how warm it is out there, he's getting a divorce!!
-
NatsFan congrats on the move and stay warm. I won't remind you of our (uh um -- clearing throa) mid 70 degree weather. LoL. Hoping for a very very quick sale for you and DH.
Lilac, good luck and kick butt on your pratical assessment today! Cheering from Cali for you.
I finally hit the 10K steps on my fit bit yesterday. Woot! Woot! I got to see the fireworks on the fitbit go off.
-
I have been offline this week but did an hour on the treadmill or elliptical each morning. We hit 40 degrees on Wed in between 2 snowstorms and I got in an outside run. The hills were hard but the fresh air felt amazing! We are back into colder temps now.
-
Office was closed yesterday but it snowed all day so got my 1 hour shovel and sculpt in about 6pm last night.
Tonight exercise will be start of massive cleanup after painters. Dust everywhere!
Night sculpted friends.
-
2/6-55 minutes of resistance training at the gym tonight!
Saw this today and thought you guys would appreciate it!

-
Ha!
Lilac, how did the test go?
Mary, glad DH is with his mom but he shouldn't torture you with those weather reports!
Super busy couple days. DH's sister & BIL came in Wednesday night & left this morning. They are very nice 'hang out around the kitchen table in your sweatpants & visit all night' kind of people, so it is a delight to have them visit. Today they left about 8:30 am; I followed them out the door, went to the gym, did yoga & some time on the elliptical, came home, took a shower, drove 100 miles, watched our high school basketball team win a regional game, drove home & am now washing clothes. Tomorrow we will go back to watch the team again, (our godson is one of the players). If they win, it will be the first time they'll go to the state tournament since 2001, so it is a pretty big deal!
