Woke up to temps in the 30s this morning!
-
Mammray- how super cool to be at your sister's child's birth! I assume from you being happy and dead tired that all went well. That's great she lives close and you can share in upbringing. It's hard when families are all spread all over. My kids have never even seen some of the folks born in our family they live so far away. You do day care too! Wow.. it is hard to be anything but busy around little ones. Kind of like being around kittens... can't be sad too cute and too busy chasing them all over and keeping them from killing themselves! Haha.. I am sure Momof2 can appreciate that running all over chasing princess.
Chevy you have some interesting neighbors. It was 28 degrees when I got up this morning, but besides the frost on the grass it's a bright sunny day. Your patio looks just like you happy sunny and full of bright colors. I will send DH up to cabin.. he can paint the bathroom. He can figure out how to get the door open.
Welcome TB! It took me a while to figure out some of the lines of dialog since it seems to be private threads, but then there is lots of yacking on any and all topics. Jump in and reload topic gun and fire away. Someone has something to offer or can redirect you to another thread. If you are utterly confused just ignore the topic and throw out a new one! Kind of like a Maypole in the various ribbons dancing around. I must warn you there is much banter about past working lives and pole dancing... most of it appears to be silliness and no truth but lots of good humored teasing. (especially between Cami and Chevy) :-)

I'm 3 pages behind but this is what we did yesterday. Chihuly exhibit at the space needle and riding a Segway, short tour in w Seattle.

-
Yes Smarty! We saw a Chihuly exhibit at the Denver Botanic Gardens last fall..... It was just amazing....If anyone ever gets a chance to see this, you won't be sorry!
-
yes MammaRay, all 3 for dinner. We picked up cupcakes yesterday for dessert. The little shop had been on Cupcake Wars. We got the last ones, pancake batter with frosting with bacon on top! Never had bacon in the frosting before. The other one was made with tomato soup and choc frosting of some kind. We are heading out to do duck tours. I changed my plans to stay another day which caused a big riff with my GF's hubby. She didn't call him first which I suggested, thought he'd bbe ok with it. Oh well, I leave tomorrow and they can work it out
-
Smaarty, BACON?? I love bacon, as bad as it is. Bakers Square Pies made a bacon and chocolate pie, and Malley's Chocolates made chocolate covered bacon. Awesome, even if it sounds yucky!
-
Smarty is that you and Teka in Seattle? Amazing you hit a sunny day there. Great shots. Seattle is fun but the grey and rain..oy! Bacon in frosting.. sounds like Voodoo Donuts in Portland. One of the most popular is a maple donut with bacon on it.. ewww. People will stand in line for 30-minutes to get one.
-
What's for dinner?
RESERVATIONS always work!!!!!
-
Day started out nice but has gone straight to Yuckville. Found out what is wrong with the car now, a sensor shorted. More money out the door! Sick of car repairs, hope this is the last time!
The only bright spot we have had all day is that we have been seeing some melting here
-
Tbryer....

Smaarty, great photos, looks like you have made fantastic use of your time in Seattle.
MammaRay, congrats on being a bolua ( sp ? ) I just recently learned what that was...It must have been an amazing experience. I have never watched someone else give birth.
CHEVY, your photo of that artist is also amazing....I will have to look for that artist..
A friend from childhood just called. I have not talked to her in several years, my sister told her of my Cancer nightmare. ( not her story to tell ) but that's life. Anyway, she wants to do a trip, we talked about Zion Nat. Park. She is doing a Carribean Cruise in June, she said I was welcome to join the group. Never been on a cruise, something to think about.
-
Tbryer- welcome to this thread. A place where people who cannot sleep come, but it goes day and night. Full range of topics around bc treatment and a thousand other things you never wanted to know about. Very good and upbeat place to visit, as these ladies will keep you laughing.
I saw the first fruit trees beginning their flowering today and had to post it for all the winter weary folks here. The promise of spring.....

-
it's sleeting here supposed to change to snow 5-8 inches all together. Ugh our town is def not prepared for this barbaric weather. Oh please don't let me get iced in at the hospital. Hoping to go home tomorrow.
Hootie hoo all
-
Chevy, stramp means slut/tramp. Or how about tramslu? And no I cannot speeel anymore. Also can't type because of tremors in my hands. Yipee! Anyway, do not bug me about speeling...like you don't bug cammi about hers! Well, her anything. I think she has a lot of anythings, don't you?
Thanks for all the purty pictures, everyone! Even you Chevy.
It's good to see you Holey! and others.
I would write more but I don't want to go back. I'm sure you all understand. I'm old and messed up. Really!

wren - I'm so glad you understand about the cowboys. I would just drive by and grab a couple of them. That way I would avoid the crowds.
-
Patty - I'm so happy you're going home tomorrow! Yaaaay !
-
Patty- good luck with the discharge and safe trip home. Prayers for storm Thor, as I hear them calling him, to stay at bay.
-

the weather here in Seattle has been great, no rain expected for the next week. I go home tomorrow. Here's Seattle skyline with mt rainier. See all that snow? Not! February was the driest on record. No snow pack just like California. This is from the space needle.

-
looking down from the space needle. These are not 3-D spiders!

Also went on the duck tours
Hi1, if you get a chance to go on a cruise, take it. Especially with girlfriends? Yoohoo!! Where they going
-
i was 72 yesterday -- had a great day. my dd made me some oven fried chicken thighs, garlic & sour cream mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts, corn, and chocolate cake with chocolate frosting (almost enough chocolate). dh got me a big hershey bar, dd & ds got me an extra set of dinner forks and salad forks - they seem to disappear or dissolve or the dogs bury them or something. anyway, i was thrilled to get a new supply - hee hee. got calls from my sister in oregon & my son in alaska. it was an "up" day all around!
mommaray - we've lived in ohio - in berea & proctorville and enjoyed it both times. welcome to the group - i'm kind of a lurker but i read this almost every day.
-
MammaRay- have a good weekend away. Soak, sleep, watch TV, do what makes you feel better.
-
mammaray......look into bubble soccer for a party. I want to play it sooooooo bad.
Way behind, need to go back and read.
Hope everyone has a pain free sleep night
-

MammaRay, have a relaxing time. I sent those spiders to my Sister in an email. She HATES spiders. She actually f**ed me back. Didn't seem too pleased.

Morning gals...
http://abcclassic2.tumblr.com/post/110696059515/as-a-pilot-sees-the-world
So okay, and Peppermint, did you get sprung?
See Phylliwhocan'ttypeeither, is one of our co-horts who is even more loosely stung than either EYE or Cammi! She used to residence at "THE BIG HOUSE" with some "friend" named BIG ALICE.... I think it was....
She was IN there for breaking laws of the land... and other places.
Maybe since she found her way back, she will stay longer, and raise even more havoc with us HERE, until we report her... just a matter of time.
She thinks SHE is old! She don't know nothin'!
Yeah? And you'de have to line UP to grab a couple of THESE cowboys...

THIS would be MY luck!

Morning Smarty & Enerva! Your trip sounds so much fun Miss Smarty! Great pictures.... I posted a link at the top of a Pilot's view of the world! Really great to see from HIS point of view.... Wait.... that makes sense... what I just said....
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOSTLY! Your dinner sounds delicious!

So are we still mad at the husband that likes Sports? Have we straightened that problem out yet?
Am EYE the only one UP? Morning Blondie... Good to see you! xoxox
-
Good morning, Chevy. I'm mostly always here around this time just lurking and having my morning coffee. I'll have to shower and get ready for work in a few minutes. Those are some real nice cowboys you got there. I think the last ones a bit old for me lol. Then again the first two are probably a I bit young for me (#cougar).
-
Good Morning Dutchess! I'm just having coffee with you.... finding cute little "gifs"....
