Hi:

I was just diagnosed with a very atypical mass, may be radial scar but I am in a high risk breast cancer category. Looking for help ASAP on information on two surgeons at Mass General in Boston: Dr. Michelle Connolly Specht and Dr. Suzanne B. Coopey. Has anyone had experience with either of them? Or is there a forum that is Boston centered online where I could ask this question? ~ElizaJane

I just had surgery at Mass General by Dr. Michelle Specht and I thought she did a fantastic job! They have a great team there.

I've heard that Specht is great. But How complicated was it dealing with Mass General? I heard that it was a bit of a nightmare to navigate such a large institution?

It was very easy. Mass General has everything set up to run smoothly. I didn't have any difficulties with any aspect of it being a large institution. I drove in from some distance and had to have several tests weeks done before my surgery, I remember I was in and out on those days, I think all were on time.
