can ct and bone scan miss hip mets

I had masectomy 3 yrs ago for invasive lobular. Have excruciatingly painful hip so bad when im standing feels like its broken. Ct and naf bone scan showed nothing which I cannot believe! What next? Mri maybe. Just worried about lobular not showing up.

    Assuming it's nothing sinister, what did the doctors suggest it might?

    What meds are you on at the moment? Could they cause side effects in the area of pain?

    Have you researched this forum for others with ILC with the same symptoms?

    Scheduling a MRI is never a bad idea.

    thank you for your reply. A bit of background. Was 45 when diagnosed. 7 tumors in left breast largest 5cm. Sentinel node clear.Radiation but no chemo on advice from oncologists. Zoladex injections to shut down ovaries for 2 years and been on tamoxifen almost 3 years. I know tamoxifen causes joint pain but this is very acute especially when standing. Im totally freaked out about lobulars ability to hide and be sneaky. The oncologist said absolutely nothing showed up to indicate why im having pain. I guess that means its not arthritic which is a worry.
