Doctor wants to do another biopsy on cancer breast

I went to get a second opinion today from another BS. They did a very long U/S and I didn't really know why until almost the end. They see at least 2 other areas that they think are likely cancer, 2 calcifications that might be in the cancer (or not) and one node, which I already knew might be an issue. They want to biopsy ALL of them. But only if I care about saving my breast. I have very little breast tissue, implants that 2 doctors have said need to at minimum be exchanged due to to their age and find mammograms miserable unless they do a crappy job, which apparently the other hospital was doing. Is there ANY point in doing the biopsies except maybe once and for all to make the decision to have the mx? Should I go through all the pain of 3 more biopsies or just say f it and get the mx?

    I can only tell you what I did. I had one biopsy and had to go to another place for a lymphnode biopsy. On that day they also did an MRI which showed two or three more places that they wanted to biopsy. At that point I said, hold it - no more biopsies, just take my breasts. I had no intention of saving either breast with that many suspicious spots - even if they turned out normal, they'd be watched relentlessly...I didn't want to have mammograms every 6 months, didn't want to always be wondering.

    Now, I still wonder if I will have cancer again, but at least I know my breast tissue is gone so there won't likely be recurrence or a second primary there. Whether it goes anywhere else is irrelevant to the mastectomy.... but I feel like I did the right thing.

    I had more suspicious areas so my surgeon told me mastectomy. I feel better because there was no other traces of cancer the pathology was very detailed I won't have that knowledge with lumpectomy. Oh yes and no radiation.

    I am hoping for no radiation but no one is saying that now.
