Float-Pod

Yesterday, in spite of my best efforts, my boys recognized that I was in major pain. My oldest son's friend works at a neuro fitness center and told my son that if I could get down there, he thought what they offer could help. I bucked up and we went. I could barely get out of the car when we got there but after 45 minutes in this float-poddy thing and 15 minutes of oxygen, I was almost pain-free! OMG! THIS WAS AMAZING. If you have access, I highly recommend it. I hope the effects last a good long while, but even if they don't it will have been awesome to have gotten some relief for a good 24 hours. I slept a full 8 hours last night for the first time in years.

Wow, Leggo, that sounds great! Can you post a link or something to whatever the float-poddy thing is? I once (pre-bc) did a virtual "Swim With The Dolphins" thing (huge waterbed that rocked as you watched dolphins cavorting on a big screen) following a massage, and it was the most amazing thing ever. I truly felt like I'd been on vacation for a week when I walked out of that 45 minute session. What you did sounds maybe a bit similar.

Wonderful! I also heard hyperbaric oxygen therapy can work for chronic pain. So maybe the float pod is nice but not necessary, at least with hyperbaric?

Thanks for sharing your secrets and I'm so glad that it worked for you. I'm adding this to my favorites for future reference.

Deanna, here's a link for what is all about. That dolphin thing sounds awesome!

MusicLover, unfortunately the pain came back after 24 hours. I guess cancer pain trumps any of the benefits long-term.

Didn't want to start another thread about something else I tried for pain so I'm putting it here. As some know, I have mets in my foot and those hurt the most out of all the bones affected. Poor hubby has been reduced to being my daily foot massage slave, so I just wanted to give a shout for a product that actually works....and believe me, I've tried everything! Been using it for the last three weeks and my pain is substantially reduced. The nodes hit all the right places. Here's a pic. My only concern is that it lasts as long as it's warranty.
