Saw my PA for 6 mths check -

Doing great! Still NED. Will see her again in 6 mths. I was 'kicked to the curb' years ago by my Surgeon and Rads Dr, a couple of years ago my Chemo Dr retired so my PA, who has been my PC for 18 yrs, is the one who I deal with. I am very comfortable with that - she is FANTASTIC and I could not ask for better care from her, or her getting me referred to where I need to go if needed. (Oh by the way, she's with VA.)

For the newer ones - when I hit a year post DX, I found out that my Drs had not expected me to make it to a year. Well, I proved them wrong - I'm now 5 1/2 yrs post DX and doing great. So do not 'buy into' stats or horror stories you find on line. Do I know what tomorrow will bring - NO - but that is true of life period. We are each so unique and our individual journey will not be the same, but ours.
