has anyone heard of her 2 status changing ?
My oncologist is away and the fill in Dr. Said she had never seen this. I saw my masectomy surgeon today for followup and he said in all his years he has never seen this.biopsy said I was her2 positive before neoadjuvant chemo. I had a partial response and still had 8/18 lymph nodes and tumor shrunk from 7x7 to 3cm. However the her 2 status changed to negative and the doctors seem stumped. Anyone have any ideas?

My status also changed post neoadjuvant. My initial biopsy showed 80 percent ER and Her2 positive. Following chemo with Herceptin and Perjeta, my Her2 was no longer positive and my ER went to 98. My doctor continued me on the Herceptin/Perjeta rather than run more tests. Three more treatments!

When I asked if my treatment was changing the oncologist that was filling in said absolutely not. She said we will continue herceptin and started me on tamoxifen right away. I just had my 7th herceptin today. Three more for you!!! Yay! On the home stretch!!
