Just diagnosed with Triple Neg Breast Cancer. Still in shock.....My lumpectomy is scheduled for Feb. 20th. I am not sure what the treatment plan is for sure. I will know more after surgery. This all happened so fast. I am really scared. Thank you for listening.

Even those of us who know the size and stage of our TNBC we don't really have a prognosis since there are so many variables. But, you have come to the right place for support and help to prepare for what's ahead. You are at the scariest part with all the unknowns but it will soon even out a bit. It is not fun to have any type of breast cancer but you will see if you read some of the posts and join the triple neg forums that there are many long term survivors. I hope you have support close by but be sure to come by here to vent, rant or get tips on how to better deal with treatments. Take care of yourself.

    Hi Rockerwife-

First, we want to welcome you to our community here at BCO. We're sorry for what brings you here, but we're so glad you've found us, and we hope you find this to be a place of support and encouragement when you need it most.

Every person with breast cancer is different, and like Wrenn said, there are so many variables to consider. But you'll have a better idea of what you're dealing with after your surgery, and you'll feel like you have a handle on this once you have a treatment plan in place. Right now it's just all scary and unknown and that's so, so normal.

You may want to read through our Triple Negative forum, it's full of lots of great info, and you'll be able to connect with some of our members who have been where you are now. You can find it here: https://community.breastcancer.org/forum/72.

Please keep us posted, and please keep posting. It helps to surround yourself with people who know what you're going through, even if it's virtually. You're in our thoughts!

hi Rockerwife - I am not triple negative, but I have a friend who was. She did a lumpectomy, chemo and rads and now 8 years later is doing fantastic. Hang in there - it's the scariest in the beginning because you are in shock. It will get better.

    Hugs

    Nancy
