I had 38 treatments which some thought was extreme........not one problem......a ittle pink.....but that was it..........strange isn't it........and I am light skinned, althogh I tan and don't burn in the sun.........

8 of those were boosts too where they really hit you hard........

I used Aquaphor........Aloe Vera 100% pure.....I used it from day 1 which is what the techs told me to do.........they said don't wait for color to appear......start immediately.......not sure if that made a difference...........

So sorry you are having all that trouble...........

I used aloe from my plant, and i only got a little pink area towards the end, and a couple pinhead blisters. I saw many women burnt crispy, and then i started to wonder if they were giving them more. But then i read on another thread, that some of the chemos they give, really sensitize your skin. i would have hated it, to turn black and red, and blister and peel. yikes

Poppy.. Sorry.. I hope you heal quickly.. I agree.. Boobs are nothing but trouble. :-(

Oh goodness, Poppy, that is not what anyone would expect to happen...I mean, in my imagination, I pictured being "fried" but I had read enough to know it usually is minor irritation.  But I do remember hearing that the olive skin is more easily damaged.  Have you had to stop treatment temporarily?  I hope you find a remedy and that the pain is not too bad.  Sending hugs.

FK, brrr that's cold...it was cold here today but the sun was out.  I can't think about more snow..my driveway is a skating pond.

Joan.. It sure sounds cold there.. I wrote to you on the STFU thread by mistake.. Just wanted to say that I'm thinking and praying for your grand babies, that they cope with all the changes that are going to happen in their lives well..with a loving grand mother like you, they will be fine.

Actually my neighbors are awesome. Our front yard is fine - we have a gardener that takes care of that. The problem is our backyard. Right before my diagnosis, we tore out all the grass. Due to the drought, we are trying to conserve water any way we can. We were right in the middle of the project and never finished. When our neighbors heard about my diagnosis, they knocked on our door and wanted to help my DH. Of course he declined. So it's looking pretty bad out there for the past 1.5 years. Now we are back on track and trying to get it done before the California Dreaming gals come to visit.

Lucy, I'm good at giving direction too. In fact, I directed him to hire someone to pull weeds after we spent two hours out there. We are both too decrepit for that kind of work!! They are coming next weekend.

Regarding TP... maybe try Kleenex tissues? Mine have aloe. We have 2 kinds of TP in my house, too. The kind for bathroom use and the kind for toilet papering friends yards. That's what happens when you have teens.

Nice weather here, but it's supposed to hit 80 at the end of the week. So much for the middle of winter.

My DH turned off the water to our backyard and the grass died. He needs to seed it, but he has too much on his plate between work, me, our problem teen and the other kids. What little grass is growing is mowed down by the wild rabbits.

We have some sad news. My sensitive middle son's lab mix is now blind. Same dog that has diabetes. My dad adopted a blind beagle and you wouldn't know the dog was blind once he got the layout of the house and yard down. When I walked him, I completely forgot he was blind. I'm using this info to help my son realize his dog can still have a happy life.

Slow......where did you get that picture of my backyard..........I told Home and Gardens Magazine they were not to publish it........oh well, no one ever listens to me..............LO

Poppy,, so sorry to hear about your son's dog.  On Facebook, there is a group called Blind Dog Rescue Alliance.  Perhaps they can give you some advice. The dog can definitely still have a happy life. It will probably be a harder adjustment for the humans.

Ducky, I LOVE your backyard,  I think we should have the bonfire there.

Well....I meant REAL Bonfire at MY house. Some days I don't feel like traveling. haha

Fun.. It is so unfair that anyone has to go through this again..Hope you sail through the RADS easily.. I totally understand the fear.. I'll join you at the fire to through it in.. I think lots of us has some to throw in... Sending ((hugs))..
