    Dear footprintsangel/Debbie, sorry for that problem. What hardware and software (operating system and browser) are you using please, as a problem with the iPad is hopefully being corrected very soon.

    In the mean-time, If you want to compose a long post, type it up in Word or similar until you have it complete, then Copy and Paste into Posting frame and you won't lose it. If the post disappears, as you have described, just paste it in again and you won't have problems.

    Thanks for the help, also when I just went to Power of prayer

    it never shows there is a new prayer just like I just finished and

    Maureen has been there.

    This is not really a 'tech question' but I have been noticing threads started by people who ask a legitimate BC question, but below the question there are the 'Watch.......Online' types of links . I presume these should be reported as spam. Am I correct?

    Yes Ruth, they're spam, they do it that way to try and bypass our spam filter (which would pick up any comments or posts with only links). We remove them as soon as we find them or they get pulled as spam, but please continue to report them if you see them.

    Hi mods. I've had a topic under the STAGE IV forum blocked for a long time. Today I noticed, it's no longer blocked. I tried to re-block it, but I keep getting an error message "block topic failed". I tried several times.

    Since uploading latest version of IOS on iPad, when I enter text on this site only, the speed of seeingthe text has slowed to a crawl

    Thank you for bringing this to our attention. It's an issue that some of our other members have experienced as well, we'll let our tech team know it's happened again. Can you tell us what model your iPad is, and what version of iOS you're now using? Also, what browser?

    IOS 8.1.3, Safari, and I don't know the model of my iPad but I've had it for 3.5 years

    I only use my iPhone, has iOS 8, the latest version. Why must I log in Every. Time? Didn't have to do that when I first joined

    We are aware of a problem currently on Forum, that is affecting us all, of:

    Links going to first post, page one instead of last.

    Description:When you click on a link in say in My Favourite or Active Topics, link should take reader to last post or last read post.
    Instead, is taking reader to first post on first page of Topics..

    This glitch has been reported and will be investigated as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience this may be causing but we hope to have it rectified soon.

    Thanks for going to report this problem SlowDeepBreaths. Sorry it is affecting you and other users too, as only confirms it is site problem. It affects how we all use this forum, Mods just as much as you (that is how we found it). We hope it may be investigated by techs soon, but may not be till US time tomorrow. :(

    I had the same problem logging in. I thought it was me because I often forget my password.

    I ended up changing the password through email and it worked.

    Not necessarily a glitch to be concerned about, but perhaps it has something to do with the current problems. Normally, you can only see avatars when you're logged in. In the last few days I've noticed some avatars are randomly showing up when not signed in (although most seem to be on the 5 or 6 more recent posts in various threads). Not complaining, just thought it was curious.

    Today, I upgraded my Safari browser which had several critical security fixes. Sadly, bco.org doesn't like this new browser at all. No longer do I cruise right to the first new post, nope, I am staring at the first post even if the thread has over 300 pages.

    Thought you would like to know since this is a fairly common browser.

    So, then I switched to Firefox, and am getting the same behavior. I read a thread, go back to Favorite Topics, go to that same thread again, and am on page 1 again.

    I haven't changed any software or hardware and all threads are opening in post 1, page 1. Eeek. I also noticed that the avatars have been missing sometimes in the last few days.

    It's not you; it's the site: I couldn't log in on my laptop earlier today but strangely, I was able to log in on my phone. Now I'm back in on the laptop. I still go to the first page of any thread too, both annoying and frustrating!

    Hi Mods, when I logged off earlier, I didn't allow me to log back in again. It also wouldn't let me reset my password again. I'm assuming there are limitations to how many times you can reset within a certain time-frame? Just now I was able to change my password AGAIN. I'm curious as to how many people are probably having problems logging in, but can't report the problem.

    The login problem has now apparently been fixed by techs. There had been a glitch regarding case sensitivity that has now hopefully been rectified. Working on fixing other problems now too, but they will take longer. Sorry for inconveniences.

    This is a huge electronic platform, and the techs must have their hands full on a good day! I'm so grateful for this life-changing resource. Technical glitch? That's nothing compared to what members have been through in our non-cyber lives. Please pass my thanks along to everyone who brings BCO to me, every day.

    I haven't downloaded the newest os yet, but safari on my macbook is so out of date it's ridiculous. But I really only still have problems on BCO, when posting, that lag is still happening. I will try it in preview. BCO just randomly logs me out, I almost never do... But... I did end up on the first page again, like everybody else. Sure enough, when I went to active topics, here everybody was!!! That's how I know its not just me. Thanks for working on it, there was something else, but I forgot what it was...

    Okay, mods, just wanted to let you know that for me, I just went and read the last page of one of my favourite topics, where I knew was the place i was at earlier. So, once I did visit the page, I went back to my favorite topics, and it did keep the right place that way. So, if anyone is looking for a quick fix meanwhile, just tap your faves, and then read where you last read, then it will hold it anew.

    Thanks for 'fix' but the website is back to operating normally now, thanks to our techs. Was caused by an update to password security and other updates being carried out that made things stop working for a few hours.
