Mods, can we get a (virtual) hug smiley?

Edited to add: does not necessarily have to be this one, there are many available
-
That's sweet! We can try!
-
Hi Mods, are you seeing the glitches I've described. They're still there. Is there any explanation come to light? I know it's not my OS or browser as it appears in IE/XP and Chrome/Windows7.
-
Hi Musical, we had our tech people look at yours and other problems. We are not seeing missing details (that were reported missing on by a couple of other's systems too), for a day or so. Our tech team appear to have sorted it out. (Like LE topic looks fine here). Are you still having troubles? Please advise if you are.

Mods, forgot to get back to you earlier. The problems I had last week seemed to clear themselves.
Thank you!

Hint, hint, a rose (roses) emoticon would be nice too...
-
Thanks for letting us know 2nd_time_around that your pages are displaying fine. Passed your Emoticon request onto team to see if feasible.

Thanks Mods for your response. Since Ive been off BCO, 2 people have posted in that thread. The "latest post" entry is now showing on the topmost page and not a blank. Within the Lymphoedema Forum I can't tell if it is still "stuck" below your pinned post as it is the latest post at the moment. There's still one anomoly: redsuns posts say 0

-
Thanks for that feedback. Redsun shows on LE in her Topic as 0 posts, yet her profile shows 1 posts??? Will pass it on.
The Mods

Thanks for the confirmation Mods that you're seeing this too in the profile. I saw that, when I looked yesterday. Update on the "stuck post at the top"... that seems to be no longer the case. Someone has posted in the "kicking LE's butt" thread and that's gone above Redsun's thread.
-
Glad to hear that it is operating normally again. Possibly when Redsun posts again, it will update all fields and fix that last remaining glitch.

Mods,Is there a way to change the number of PMs you can send on a daily basis?

Done, gapeach79!

Thank you! -
Hi mods, I'm getting frustrated trying to type BCO posts on my iPad mini, using a bluetooth keyboard. I have IOS 8.1. After about 40-60 characters of typing, the letters arrive onscreen in excruciatingly slow motion, and it's so bad I have to give up and wait until I'm at a computer to begin again. I'm posting this experience here because it happens only in the BCO forums--I never, ever have the experience while interfacing with any other website. A fellow member-hugz4u- described the same experience in a lymphedema forum post, and the lightbulb turned on...I thought it was only me having this problem! Hugz has the slow-mo typing experience only on her iPad, and only when posting on BCO.
Any insights? I travel constantly for work, and the iPad is my most accessible avenue to participate in the BCO forums.
Thank you for all that you do for us...

Carol-
Thank you for bringing this this to our attention. It's been an issue in the past, typically after we've gone an upgrade or update somewhere else on the sire, so we'll check with our tech team and let them know that someone has experienced it once again.

Thank you!!

carol and mods, I have similar typing/posting problems with my iPad mini on this forum. I thought it was my iPad. Perhaps it is the forum? I often try typing responses only to have the page freeze. Very frustrating! Lots ofsupportive posts have been abandoned because I have to close the page and all typing is lost.
-
Ugh... we know... it is very frustrating also for us!
Thanks for your help and your patience!

Divine, I write for a living, so words come (too) easily. I suppose that one good outcome of this problem is that when I'm using my iPad, it forces me to be quite concise...need to make my point in one short sentence before the letters turn to slow motion!
Thanks for working on this, Mods. It's certainly a bizarre problem.
-
Can everyone say how old your devices (iPad or iPad minis) are?
-
Three and a half months old (iPad mini)
-
I have the same problem, both with a blue tooth keyboard and the onscreen keyboard. 3 month old iPad mini 2. Upgraded to the latest OS (8.1.3) and still have the problem. Switching to preview mode lets me type at a normal rate
-
kittybelle, I never realized you could type while in preview mode, so I'll have to try that, as we wait for the BCO tech team to figure this unusual problem out. Thanks for the hint!
-
In the past, I've lost replies too. Frozen screens and the occasional mistake of hitting the "back button" resulting in lost typing.
Now, I always type my responses outside of the forum first and then simply copy and paste when I'm ready to post. It's not the solution, but a simple workaround.
-
Okay, we appreciate the details. And always best when you add your browser and Operating System! Thanks!
-
Getting some odd post counts on the Active Topics list again.

Seems unlikely, but that is what it says. In fact, there are 0 Unread Posts.
*susan*
p.s. And this site is totally miserable on an iPad if you want to actually respond in a thread. Doesn't matter how new/old the device is, what browser or iOS is being used. It is lousy on all of them.
-
Thanks Susan -- the Active Topics issue should be fixed now.
It seems as though the problems with the mobile devices are going to be solved in the next couple of weeks -- we need to upgrade some software and hopefully that will take care of the issue.
Thanks so much, all, for your patience while we work out this kink!

Thank YOU, mods! I never lose sight of what a wonderful gift of love this entire site is. A little patience is a small price to pay for the support and friendship that pours out of this community. I cannot begin to fathom the financial and other resources needed to make all this happen. I'm most grateful.
-
Thank you Carol for those kind words, much appreciated. As already stated, the problem is being looked at.

I wrote out a whole prayer and lost it so I pushed the arrow
back and it wasn't there. What can I do It is happening everyday.
Thanks Debbie
