Any New Updates On A New Chat Room?
Hey, mods, its been a long long long time since we've had a chat room here. Any word on how long it is going to be before we get one again?

Hi Giantgardenlover,
First, we apologize for just getting back to you on this. For some reason, this post slipped our radar.
We wish we had an answer for you. Originally, we'd hoped to have a revamped Chat Room by the end of 2014, but due to lack of funds, resources, and technology, unfortunately, it's looking like sometime in 2015. We hope to have some more details soon and will update the entire Community once we know more.
We thank you and all the Chatters for your patience and understanding.

I take you at your word but I have to wonder in 2015 how expensive or technical is a chat room?Sorry don't mean to be snarky.

No snark taken. Unfortunately, for a non-profit, every program depends on donations or grants and every dollar gets ear-marked. While our Community is extremely important to our organization, there are also some forward-thinking programs that will be help our members access important information and become their own advocates, which has taken priority.
The Chat Rooms are still on our to-do list, but right now, there's no goal date set.
Again, we thank you for your patience and we'll let you know as soon as we know more!

I get that at this point chat is sort of old fashioned and moving BCO forward in a contemporary way is a priority. But I will also say I had awful pain after my surgery and when my husband was sleeping the chat room was my salvation. This disease can be isolating and having a place for real time human interaction is, in my opinion, really important. I will admit when I am not in crisis I don't use it often

Any more news on bringing the chat room back? Is it still something we are pursuing? Tx
