Hello everyone. I just got the results back from what I thought was a routine baseline mammogram. Instead I have DCIS, not sure if it's invasive or not. I had a second biopsy done on my other breast since I got the positive result, and now I'm waiting for those results to come back, and then I'll meet with the doctors. I'm gathering a lot of strength from these boards (thank you to everyone out there for sharing your experiences) and my biggest question right now is, who is a good doctor at Kaiser Santa Clara? I'd appreciate any recommendations, tips, or words of wisdom from those of you who have been treated at KP Santa Clara. Thank you!

I have had all of my tx there. I use Dr. Lucy Song, but Dr, Jeske is very good as well. Theyare both oncologists. Please feel free to post questions or pm me. I have had wonderful experiences (if one has to have bc),

PS: oops, strike Dr. Jeske. Seems she has moved to SF

Caryn - thank you for the note. I will be meeting with the doctors this week or next; it's good to have a name. I'll look for Dr. Song if she's available. And I may be back with more questions for you. Thanks for the support.

I'm there, too.  I have Dr Stevenson as my surgeon. So far may not need chemo.  Awaiting more surgery.  Everyone at SC Kaiser has been very caring and great.  Lots of communication.  Love Esther.

Dr. Stevenson was my surgeon as well. After my bmx, I had little contact with him, other than drain removal. I had one step implants with a fantastic ps, who has since moved to Texas.
