CKC, my heart is racing right now because the results and symptons you have shared are VERY similar to mine, including the back pain and leg pain. I feel like I am being selfish, but I want to ask about your results of the scans or your doctors thoughts on the cancer having spread to other areas. I will know soon enough. I have a CT and bone scan tomorrow. Well, I'm still waiting for them to call me today and give me a time for the appointment tomorrow. Praying for us both. Well praying for all the ladies up here, but you have especially gotten my attention...

SugarCakes...I can SOO relate to everything you just wrote. For what it's worth, I experienced all kinds of pains that, well, I just knew the cancer had spread all over. The back pain, unexplained stomach pain. I had surgery on Friday for port placement and sentinal node biopsy. Just got results Tuesday that the lymph nodes were all clear. I have heard this from others here too, now I can tell you, your mind can be very powerful! Not saying you don't have leg pain, but what you may not have paid any attention to last month, suddenly you are very aware! Good luck tomorrow on your tests--hope you don't have to wait long for the results. --Lorie

When I was diagnosed in 2011, the first thing they did was pet/ct scans and MRI's, head to toe. I had NO symptoms, but I did end up with 5 lesions in my bones. Then I did chemo, then surgery (lymph nodes clear, but obviously that meant nothing since it had already spread to my bones), more pet/ct scans (still 3 bone lesions, but much better). How would they have known I was stage IV if they hadn't done the pet/ct scans & MRI's? And how would they know that chemo worked without having the first scans to compare to. I really don't get why some ladies have to have symptoms to get scans. I've never had symptoms but that didn't mean a darn thing.

CKC, just curious how you were? Hope you have gotten your biopsies and scans done.
