Chevy, shoulder (and knee) replacement is the only solution for my bad joints. I'm fortunate I seem to have only those. My mom and 2 of her 3 brothers were pretty crippled from it. My mom had it in her hands and feet mostly, odd mine seems to be in the larger joints.

For the inflammation, I take Celebrex, and I used to be on narcotics for pain but decided I wanted my consciousness back so quit last year. Now I have to take these before tx and they make me all spaced out and when they wear off I have a headache. I feel nonfunctional.

I suppose when this is all over I should have my joints replaced.

Susan, Congrats on your 33 years.... Mine is ALSO tomorrow, 35 years. How unbelievable is that?

Mags, feeling your shoulder pain. My right shoulder surgery, about 10 ago, was for a rotator cuff tendon tear. The surgeon shaved ( cut ) off the end of the bone to give me more room. Bone spurs, bursa sac totally chewed up. I do have arthritis in my hands & feet. Surgery scheduled for my left shoulder on Feb. 5. Ahhh, arrgg, not looking forward to the recovery. You know, shoulders are painful. I have been active most my life, lots of physical work, lots of play. The nurse when I had my port removed went on about how many veins were in my hands, from physical labor. So, where are you in radiation? How many more zaps.?

    Dutchchris, Hello ! Hello !

Blondie, hope you are hanging in there & they are taking good care of you.

Envera, I think about Nicky ( Irish in France ). She was so very sick when she posted last, 10 months ago. What a joy when she posted.

HOOTIE Hoo Miss Peppermint....:-) & all

Okay, so don't do this:....... Don't every copy and paste something from another thread, like this, onto a "write" blank page, and try and add onto it, and then copy and paste ALL of it to this thread! What I WANTED to post is in bold.... but I was CONGRATULATING you guys on your Anniversary's, and wishing you all many MORE years !!

But whatever happened, was, I lost the whole thing... I posted this on the fuzzy thread...

And I just remembered! "Old Shoe" is Italian for our last name! Hah! I mean our last name means "Old Shoe" or "Shoemaker" in Italian! That must mean something, but I don't know what............

"Sass, that one about the Women saying "I love you" is so cute! After 57 years married, and 2 more before that, we have reached the point where we always know we will love each other... come hell or high-water.

We are like an old pair of shoes... Comfortable with each other, always together, and couldn't walk without the other..."

Hi ladies- well I seem to be sleeping at night and grateful for that, so popping in here to say hi this morning. Been busy with my flooring work this week, but everything got done yesterday and it looks so beautiful. My home renovations are now done, but lots of work to put things back in the rooms. Still lots of work to declutter, reorganization, and going to go get a temp storage place for things I want to sell, but until I find the right place to do that, need to have a place to hold these. Not tag sale kinds of things, but larger items like a mountain bike, some nice framed pictures, etc.

Susan and Holeine- happy anniversary! I hope you and DH have a nice day and celebrations together.

Mags- how nice that you will see your son while he is in town. I hope the visit is a good one! I am sorry to hear the shoulder issues are continuing to be so hard on you. Hugs sister.

Mommy- the visuals of the pets making you their pillow is great. I have a friend who is pregnant and she posted a photo on FB of her dog hugging her pregnant belly. Just the cutest thing I have ever seen.

Dutchiris- hi and hope you are able to take care of yourself.

2nd time- I hope you and your family are doing well too!

Chevy- I love your pics and the hiking boots remind me of the book and movie "Wild". Have you seen it yet? I read the book a few years ago and saw the movie not that long ago. Great story.

Sas- hope you are doing well today too!

About the football stuff, I never realized that the Patriots had such backbiting to deal with. I am not into sports much, like an occasional baseball game, but think like everything else these days, it is all about big money. I went to a conference last fall in the Bay Area and we were next to the SF 49ers stadium and they hosted a reception there as well as a tour. What struck me about it the most was the "investors room" where the richey rich hang out on the 50 yard line and drink from an open tap. So it does not surprise me the big game tix cost so much. I hope the 1% enjoy going to the game!

I have lots to do today and also working on some new work opps for my consulting business so I can get working again soon.

Wishing everyone here a good day!

You are sending this to me now??? When they had the big Loma Prieta earthquake in 1989 I swore once they opened the airport I was flying back East - PTSD driving over any bridge and underpasses after that rolling and shaking for weeks... yuck. We were living in the Oakland Hills... ugh. That's a huge bridge..OMD. There are other ways to get to Sarasota right?

Hi bad news, I get to work on bladder cancer. Got the call yesterday. Drank a bottle of wine. Just got a name of a doc tonight. Not sure if I go with the older or the younger. Same last name, I'm thinking father and son. Both are associated with Moffitt. The urine for cytology was abnormal. Next step is to the uro doc with repeat urines. The definitive diagnostic test is a cystoscopy. Scope into the bladder for a look. So there's a remote chance that it's  a false finding. The good news is I've already studied the path report findings: Of all the bladder cancer pathologies this is the best.
