Onco- well, I took the green chili stew out of the crock pot and took some to my neighbor (we always share food and other cooking related things with each other). But here is what it looks like from a previous time I made it.

And yes, it is delicious with corn bread, although I often avoid eating breads due to the carbs, etc.

Tonight I am making some chicken parmesan. I am a cooking fool today.....

well i was given Lorazepam 1mg for occasional use at my last Onc visit as I reported i get spontaneous anxiety but now I am worried about taking it.

Thanks for fast responses re my idea, I haven't secured the place yet but am looking at income generation so its not fully formulated yet, but would be on individual or couples basis. No specific cancer support in area, as you know, apart from me but plenty of options for exercise, yoga, art, pottery and there are private services that do airport runs at very economical prices and of course speak english, so would be hassle free transport once they landed at airport.

My dogs and cats would be available as therapy or could be kept away!

    Hi Hermmies

Lily that's an interesting idea, I've never heard of that--I hope u can find something for u.

Onco sounds like a good visit. I'm one o those people who would see the cuff and get hysterical, so my primary always had to take it a few times--now I could care less so it's fine. LOL Oh I always have the TV on, my sister always has the radio on we both have tinnitus.

Jazzy that pilot was hysterical. And as usual u'r busy--Right now my job has slowed down a bitso my phone is a little quiet. I'm glad. U'r stew looks great--is it spicey??? I used to love spicey, now I'm a wimp but my kids and Joey love things really hot.

It's way to early now but I can't wait to have coffee. hmmmm maybe I will.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning ladies- I think my pilot photo was a hit here, LOL!

Lily- I think this sounds really great and just what you need. Yoga, pottery, etc. all sounds wonderful. I hope you can find a way to make it work. I am glad to hear you are looking for work too, you sound more ready to do that again. Going back to work after all this crap is hard, but you can do it!

Cami- yes, busy with my home right now and we will be finishing up the floors today too. I also am talking to some folks about new consulting work in this new year. Not ready yet, but exploring.

And the green chili stew is spicy, but not super hot. Green chili is a staple food here, and we eat it with and on everything! Red chili too!

We have a storm coming today and into tomorrow.

Hi ladies, I thought I would let you know I had my post surgery follow up yesterday. My path report was good for the most part - there was no nodal involvement but there was evidence of LVI. My surgeon didn't even mention that part. I saw it and pointed it out. He didn't make a big deal just said it will likely drive some of the treatment decisions (chemo). The hope I had feels a bit crushed knowing the tumor had access to my lymphatic and/or blood vessels. I came to work today to try and keep busy but it keeps coming up in my mind. None of my friends that have survived breast cancer had LVI present, so it just makes me wonder if I may not have a great prognosis. Everything I've found online about LVI isn't very in depth, but points to a poorer prognosis. Maybe I am reading too much in to it. I'm just ready to go home and sit in my chair. Hope all is well with you.

Shelley- sorry to hear about the LVI. I sent you a PM that I hope is helpful.

Mommy- where is your mom coming down from? For a visit, to help you with something?

Lily are you thinking of running the retreat or attending it?  Either way, I imagine you are excited at the possibilities.  New activities can be rejuvenating.

Cami, I know my day has officially started when I take the first sip of coffee even it it's the middle of the night.  Actually, coffee marks the beginning of the afternoon too as I have one after my "stretch out" time after lunch.  I do have to watch my total caffeine consumption though as I am prone to anxiety attacks when I am on caffeine overload.  Thank heavens for decaf.

Jazzy, hey ... how about sending us your storm.  Our drought is getting scary.

Onco, I love coincidences---really gets me feeling the universe's connectivity.

Shelley, great that there is no nodal involvement.  When will you have a chance to ask a doctor about the LVI?

MOmmy, like Jazzy, I am wondering about your mom ... where is she from ... is she coming to help and/or to visit ... how long is she staying?

    Footprints, how are you?

The last few days I have walked before 9:00 am.  The early walk ... 20 minutes ... has given me more energy and erased the winter blues.  Awhile ago in an article I read, Dr. Phil said something about how changing one thing can bring about multiple changes.  The early morning walk proves his point to me.

Mom lives in Rhode Island. She'll be here for at least four days. She's coming mostly to care for me while hubby is at work and to visit.

Sally- it is so true by changing one thing, many things will change. I love that you are doing the morning walks. I wish I could go with you......

Mommy- I am glad your mother is coming to visit!

I will be running it, more as a time for assimilation rather than a retreat, just time to be in a beautiful and relaxing setting.........for couples to reconnect or individuals to take the time and space they need to relax, start to absorb what has gone on and how they are feeling in themselves etc...... it will be individually tailored or they can take it day by day......open to suggestions........

Lily- get some rest and things will feel better. I notice when I am not rested, everything feels worse. I think you have something very good going on here, may take some planning, but it's a great idea.

Onco- don't I wish! That picture came off facebook. I thought it looked lovely.

I love tubs that look out over something. The only time I have ever seen one is at a cool B&B in Taos that had a beautiful window that looks out into a courtyard with cottonwood trees. It was amazing!

Not sure what is on the tray but likely those flower petals.....
