Dunes! I am one of the rare ones you'll find who not only knows what CS4, OS, and SSD are, but have actually used them! And still have them installed, though I'm retired now. I was a graphic artist, owned my own company, 18 years, did all kinds of stuff, even taught desktop publishing in Vo-tech and for companies and even government agencies. Settled down to doing 4-color catalogs for a foodservice company, hundreds of pages, even several languages. After I retired I did sermon slides for a small church. Here's one:

And one of my favorites:

Disgusted with the whole "Deflate"gate that is surrounding the Patriots. Sounds to me like its nothing but fans of the Colts who have a case of the sour grapes because the Colts lost to the Patriots. Super Bowl is going to hard for me this year as I do like both teams.
-
Mommy- I just heard about deflate-gate, what is up with that? Sour grapes is right. I am not into football, but will say I hope the Patriots win because I am originally from NE.
Mags- I love the ducks in a row picture.
We are rolling along here with my home improvement- new hard wood floors in the spare bedrooms. One room done, the other will be finished by noon. They are going to plan to leave and come back mid afternoon which frees me up too, but if the floors are not set (I personally think they need longer than a few hours to set), they will come back to finish tomorrow. Then the painter returns for touch ups and I can clean up this mess here!

OMG again I can't catch up----so just bear with me or is it bare, or is that naked--whatever , it's really not important cuz Chevy will only add to it.
Welcome anyone new and I'm sorry or all that's hurting--this is all crap.
Oh I like the way Chevy gives out advice drink tea--but she forgets to tell u what to add to that tea, like her own whiskey, that's how she warms up--Jeez Chevy I always have to rewrite what u say, u leave the good parts out.
I had Champagne and peach-mango drinks the other nite--yummy--u can drink a few o hose even with ice and it warms u up, just like the Bailey's and coffee I had for breckfast, a couple of cups o that and my old bones feel better--the hell with the pain meds
Mags I always like the way u'r Dr.s come up with things to do for u. Well u know they're thinking.
And all the talk of cold well we're having a heat wave, a tropical heat wave--oh I go of on a tangent--It's almost 30 hear but a little rain snow, ice thing going on. That's baad I think. but since my job doesn't take me out of my bedroom I can't complain, I just like to. (shut up Chevy). .
OK just poopin in to say Hi and hope everyone feels better and has a good week.

Cammi!!!!!
Don't be gone so loooooong!!!!
We miss you!!!!!!!!!

-
cami. Yea. Glad to see you.
Hello to all
Hootie hoo
-
Oh so here comes little Cammi! I think the cold is reaching her brain.... Cams, I was talking about all the fragrances I bought at the Bath & Body Shop the last 2 times (On the older womens thread.....) I walked past there! I had 75% off! I mean OFF! I mean THEY did! So I bought tons of body washes, and spray on fragrances, and creams! THAT way you can use ONE fragrance to SHOWER with, and another to SHAMPOO with, and then ANOTHER one to spray on, and THEN, the CREAMS are just decadent!
You could smell me clear down the block.... out to the ALLEY! I mean, I had such an "AIR" about me.... So then I then realized some people are allergic to all that sweet-smelling stuff, and get sick or miffed when around a whole Hawaiian orchard of blossoms! So I can just tell YOU this! YOU and I must talk about our shower experiences. And our drowning ourselves in sweet-smelling stuff! Geez, I love that stuff! I hide them so no-one else will either find them or use them!
You still take showers? I just wondered, because I/WE haven't heard! I mean you USED to! I take showers, then fall out of the tub.... guess you missed that one... It wasn't bad.... the Hospital staff was right on top of all the things I broke..... I have a full-body cast now.... but don't worry.... I can type with one finger.... which is more than.... Oh never mind.
Jazzy and Mom2.... I heard Kelly and Michael talking about the de-flated balls.... Only THEY were just stupid. Yes.... sounds like someone is just jealous.
The Bronco's blew it yet again.... Now John, and Gary are talking about how they are going to take over the world.... and then play a good game of foot-ball.

Mags, generally, when there is such destruction on one joint, the opposite side joint shows some destruction. Trauma is an easy answer, but you deny trauma. Not even as a kid? Teenager? No falls ever? Work, did your work cause you to use that shoulder any differently than the other? Lifting, pushing, pulling? Sports that cause the use of one arm over the other? Repetitive use injuries can cause lopsided presentations. Next thought. Did you have problems before BC sx? Was your shoulder a problem after sx? Was it frozen? How long. Next thought. Do you sleep on that shoulder? How long? Life long? How hard was the bed? The sleeping thing would take years to make a difference. People tend to sleep on one side or the other. New thought. Do you carry a shoulder strap purse? Life long? Heavy? Do you have a combination of all the above? The presentation is so curious, I called my old orthopedist and left a message. Hopefully , They call back.

Smarrty, beautiful dress. Are you making the next dress with the peacock material in the same way? Then you would be a dragon fly and a peacock ready to fly away. How about butterflies and angels?HI1 did you see the last glass? Nice tubs LOL. OMD the faucet on the shoe seems to be up at the top of the heel. This could be a water feature;)
The walk-in Just as Smarty said cold until it fills. One company (or more) were designing a rapid emptying process to avoid chills after bath.
Patty, It's like saying goodbye to family. On to a new adventure though

Dunes did you have a chance to read the suggestions I made for PattyP. How hard is your bed?
Just this weekend I went to my cousins. There bed beat me up very bad. Couldn't wait to get back to my memory foam. It's taken several days to recover.
Chevy after I get through finding new homeowners insurance. You have me convinced that maybe things have gotten to the point that aides will work. I will start looking. Love the mustang. Spookie & I look so cute. Rosie shouldn't miss us. That garden is a dream oasis.
Mags and dunes I started a thread on Tech stuff. Could you share some of your knowledge for us untechies.
Mommy define "deflate gate" Missed it all.
Jazzy Yay almost done. After pics when done

Cami just poopin back to you who.
See chevy all you have to have is a little nudge from Cami and off you go............
-
Sass! You mean hearing aids? Or aids to help around the house.... I'm just "lost" here....
If you mean Hearing Aids.... Costco has better deals than aids from your ENT's! And better service. All hearing aid tests are pretty general.... Some places do a LOT of things you don't really need... But Costco is always there, and have good plans.
Now are you talking about aids for around the house? Like bars, ... or help navigating around? Or even a parking placard? If you have trouble walking or getting around, you CAN ask your Doctor for a paper, then take it to Motor Vehicle, and it is easy to get one!
I prefer calling the Paramedics, or Fire Department guys for help though..... They are soooooooooo helpful!

I have a handicap license plate. $20 one time fee. I like it better than the hang tag, was always loosing it. Eyeore has license plate too. Just ask doc, go to DMV
-
WTH????????? Am I the only one UP? You mean you all are SLEEPING? Spookie, I KNOW you are up! Want some coffee?
-
So okay.... I'll just go on here, like someone is listening. I don't think I have anything to say... It's like going into a room, and no-one else is HERE!
-
Sas- "Deflate"gate is what the news media is calling the allegations that the Patriots used footballs that were underinflated Sunday to give them an advantage to win over the Colts.
The whole thing is stupid and sounds to me like everyone is trying to say that the Patriots can't win without cheating. They are perennial targets of cheating allegations ever since the Jets cried and said that the Patriots videotaped their hand signals in a game once.
-
Bah! Pro sports. Any of them. I just don't understand how anybody can follow any of those over paid whine baby's.
-
good morning all! Just thinking of you

-
Spookie, A group here is offering a super bowl package that includes air fare, hotel for 3 nights, a couple of fan parties and upper seats. It's only 5,800 per person. I cannot imagine paying 15,000 to attend a game (extra $ is for food and drinks). The only fun game to watch is 1st & 2nd grade soccer. Before they figure out which goal is theirs.
-
Wrenn, agree completely! The little ones are cute
-
The only pro sport I watch anymore on a regular basis is football and occasionally I will watch hockey only if the Minnesota Wild are being shown at a reasonable time. Otherwise I stick to college football and basketball.
-
The college kids have their eyes on a pro contract. Look at FSU, the rape case. Innocent or guilty, he withdrew from school, going pro. Bah
-
Sports are my distraction

Hey Owlettes! Cute owls! Chevy, is that a fruit owl? I had heard they exist but never seen one.
Sassy, I have been wracking my brain to think what kind of trauma I might have had to my shoulder, but I'm coming up blank. I've only ever broken one bone in my body, and that was my right index finger, playing volleyball in high school. But I have arthritis in both knees as well, bone on bone, and degenerative disc disease in my lower back. The only thing I can think of is that I used to work out, and I'm thinking it was repetitive motion that caused the bone spur to eventually slice the rotator cuff tendon almost all the way through back in 2005, and after 2 surgeries in 2006 to repair it, it's been pretty much downhill since then.
RO's solution was to double up on pain meds before I come in, so I did that today, and even though I hate how it makes me feel, it did keep the pain at bay for the most part.
And, my son is coming for a short visit next week! His work is bringing him to town, so we will celebrate his birthday while he's here, a bit early.
-
Wren yep peewee soccer is the best! They are either so serious or off in lala land. Love it.
Chevy my one kid collects owls and that fruit barn owl is so cool; she would love it. So are the other ones.
-
Love the fruit owl.
-
I had to look twice at that fruit owl! At first I thought it was real!
Mags... I worked for Pepsi for 10 years on week-ends, and I carried a tray filled with little sample Pepsi cups.... part time, for all those years. I didn't think my arm would ever work again. It wasn't any permanent damage, but I thought it would be for awhile...
It sounds like yours IS degenerative disease... Arthritis in your joints... And I don't know if there is any way to "fix" that? I read on here, about a shoulder replacement? Is that possible, or do you have Arthritis evrerywhere?
Is it Osteo-arthritis? If your fingers, are not getting crooked, or your toes, it is probably not Rheumatoid Arthritis.... My Mil suffered with that for sooooo many years.... What does your team say they can do? I really don't know anything about those diseases.... but I just thought I would throw my 2 cents in.... Doesn't it run in families?
What can you take, that won't screw your stomach up?
Rosie, did you go to Google Images, and then type in Owls? There are a million! Ha!
