I DID do 2 more.... One for both boys in Orlando.... where quilts aren't exactly needed... Ha! But they are safely stored in their closets! Oh I found LOTS of pictures of Settee's! Like Love-seats... or small sofa's...

Here is one for us...
-
We can sit there and drink English Leather Tea! Or is that a man's fragrance? We can drink Sangria with Sassy.... Ha! YOU drink your whatever......
-
Spookie- that couch in the photo was my grandmothers and from the 1800's. My mother had it in our house as we grew up and when we had to clear out her house and move her to CA, I took the couch and another beautiful desk I really wanted.
The couch needs to be reupholstered as it has some faded areas, and found a place here that does good work with antiques. A friend had her family antique couch redone and saw it in person and may have that done at some point. I also have an antique rocker with wicker seat that needs to be re-caned and know someone who does that work too. More things to do down the line when I have the time and money.
-
ooooooh that pink one!!!!! Need a house to go with now.
Plain 'ole water for me
-
Smaarty, Did you have a pattern for the owl or just wing it?
Rose, My GS were taught sign before they could talk. Most of their friends did it too. Lots less anguish when they can tell you want they want. I'm a slow texter, but I like doing it. DD said her boys would roll on the floor laughing to see how slowly I do it.
-
I KNOW! And I need reading glasses to DO it, and I have to keep going "back" to correct it! Your fingers have to be as big as a pencil....
-
Love the furniture n the quilt.
If u r having issues with the wifi or the puter would b happy to help if i can.
Fire where r u worried along with u r ducky parter in crime
I am ok in the main room watching tv playing on my tablet.
Luvv guys

So you'll never believe this...... I fell OUT of the tub.... got my one foot tangled in the shower-hose, and went splat, down on one knee, and then got the other leg out! Hah! It only cut it a little.... Enough to scare DH.... and he came running when he heard the thump on the door! HE was going to put a syptic pencel on it! I said ARE YOU KIDDING???
So he just gave me paper- towels to mop-up.... See, I don't have to fall off the pole, I can fall on ANYthing! I'm just sore.... every bone is sore, but I didn't really hurt anything. I put on my compression socks to hold the bandage and the blood in.
How ARE you Blondie.... I don't have any more Tablet problems.... I gave it back to DD.... the rascal that gave it to me in the first place..... You are in the re-hab main room? Not the Casino main room? And don't go fallin' again. Yes, I know.... I should talk.... but I fixed the shower hose, where I won't catch my foot on it again....
-
Chevy, really..pay attention. ....i am n don't gamble, mayb with u r money i will.
Take care cause u know it will hurt tomorrow
-
Blondie- glad you are doing okay and have the tablet with you so you can be wired and keep an eye on Chevy.
How is the PT going? Do they do it every day or just Mon-Fri?
-
Yep apparently she needs a babysitter
Pt ok,.m-s for 1 hour, but i am doing them more in my room..unfortunately there is nothing i can do it is just time...time for the ankle to heal. A splint on it now, either a cast or a boot when i go to the surgeon
-
Blondie, it all hurts already! And I didn't even hit anything except my other knee! And tore that other leg! You would THINK I was old or something.... ..... I am going to sit on the heating pad, and cover up with my flannel warmer! I took 2 Aleve, and I'm drinking a coke.... It only hurts when I move...
I can't tell the girls, or they will scream and yell... probably strap me in a wheel-chair.... So I whine to you guys...... How do YOU get around? We have to get you a Segway!
Cammi has a cane now... We should all form a club or something.... We are mobility challenged.... Ha!
Happy rest of this Sunday girls!
-
CHEVY, am I gonna have to come allllllll the way out there to keep an eye on you? You be careful gf!!!!!
-
omg, love the pictures, jazz that is so beautiful. Love the floor and the furniture.
Here is my project today, I made a terrarium
I always wanted one. Hope I did it right and it survives my lack of plants skills lol

-
Enerva- that is beautiful, especially with the cyclomen. I just bought a white one myself and hope I don't kill it as I have never been good with them. What is the secret around light and water to keep them going?
Blondie- time heals all wounds, especially broken bones. I think it is a good time to catch up on some movies. Do you have a TV in your room or do you have to go to that group room?
Chevy- segway's are cool. But I don't think they will help you to get in and out of the tub. I used a cane at one point myself after some bigger abdominal surgery and feeling a loss of balance after that. It could help!
I figure eventually I am going to trade out my jetted tub for one of those walk in tubs, but have no idea what they cost? Probably a small fortune.
-
hahahhahaha jazz u and I are twins from another life lol mee too I am not great at these plants but love them I often go to plant nursery just to look at the beautiful plants I ll try my best to keep this new one alive lol
Chevey I love ur garden I remember in the summer u shared pictures
Blondy hopping u get well soon
-
Enerva- you are my sister from another mother!
I found this link on cyclomens. They need bright light! This link says plant of the month for January. Lets see if we can keep our cyclomens alive this month!
-
enerva. That's beautiful...good job
Hi blondiex, it will be a full time job if you have to keep your eye on chevy
Chevy, were you climbing you pole in the shower to reach the hose to trip on it??? Do you have poles everywhere ...ha ha
I don't call them canes...they are walking sticks, like the hikers have...sounds sooooo much better
Gotta get back to knitting...bye bye
-
http://www.rhondabuss.blogspot.com/2014/12/thrifty...

We now have a flock. That is the link to make the owls. I've made two of them. Got a dress done and need to decide what I'm working on tomorrow. We leave at 2 and head home.
Me at the beach, it was nice and warm just before lunch, then the fog rolled in. Yes, the hair is longer then I thought. I'll cut off a couple inches in March. Sass, I don't it, just curl the ends and that's it

-
enerva, like your terrarium. Hope the plants survive.
Chevy, never take a bath, showers only. We did install grab bars and a bench seat, since we're only getting older. You need to be careful girl, you could have cracked something serious, like your funny bone!!
The quilt will go to Quilts of Valor after the quilt show in September. That's why it red, white and blue
-
smaarty, that beech looks soooo good...I'm jealous.
And you owls are very cute. The brown one is my fav

-
Smarty- love the beach shot!
-
Ah geez! You guys are getting me all excited for Spring!
Smarty's at the beach, Little Enerva made a Terrarium! And I LOVE Cyclamen's! I bought a little Hyacinth bulb, in a cute little jar, just standing with roots in that clear "vase".... It kept growing, I kept watering the vase, and one morning I woke up, and it was blooming, and fell out of that little jar!!!!!!!!!
Now who ELSE would do that? So I run upstairs, grab that old huge glass vase that I used to keep my Betta in, and stuck the little vase, in THAT vase, and now the Hyacinth is standing up like it should, being held up by the OTHER vase.... AND another Hyacinth stem is in there blooming too!
I'll take a picture of the vase within a vase....
Smarty, those Owls are darling!
And Spookie, I only partially FELL! I WAS taking a shower... See, DH put this shower hose in about 20 years ago... It was just a bath-tub... Then he connected a hose from the faucet, with a loop, because the faucet was pointing down, and he attached it up above on a form, that went around the tub... The shower head is mounted above, just like a real shower!
But that "loop" is what will kill me! I had stepped OUT of the tub, onto the soft little fluffy rug, but my other foot got tangled up in the loop of the hose, and held on, so I just only fell down on one knee, and my hands, and then I rolled over, and THAT is what is so funny! My leg was still in the tub, bleeding like bloody murder from the connection... he spliced it for some reason, with a metal thing! So once he heard me hit the door with my hand as I splat hit the floor... I felt like a beached whale.... I mean guppy!
And he thought he should help me up, but I didn't want to move something that might not move....! So I got all my parts figured out, and got myself up... but he thought that "syptic" thing would stop the bleeding!
Have YOU gals ever used that to stop the bleeding? Might as well get a blow-torch!
Paper towels worked best...But it is funny now... Come to think of it!
He MIGHT get a one piece hose, instead of what is on there now! THAT way, when I fall, it will at least be smooth, and not have brackets and screws and whatever the hell it is on there. And figure out a better way to connect that shower head!
Susan... You made me laugh!
And so you can see part of that hose going from the faucet to the mounted shower head... It really IS quite clever... but I can screw THAT up in a hurry!
Our bathroom is very tiny... not enough room to install a pole...Ha!
I mean you can't fall VERY far! Can't even hardly turn around....
-
And I thought MY bathroom was little! Can't sneeze & fart in mine at the same time, you'd blow out a wall. Pretty shower curtain! Can't see the hose thingy, but I'm going to order new glasses this week, then maybe I'll see it
-
Chevy- the guest BR in my house is small like that. But not the main bathroom I have, I have a walk in shower in the master bathroom.
I also have no pole there either, but thinking about one....LOL!
-
Spookie! It is to the right of the shower curtain.... You can see a white "thing" on the right in the picture.... That was so funny what you said!

I ordered that shower curtain from Victorian Trading Co.... Yes, I know it's "girlie".... but we don't care.
Yes Jazzy..... You can put in mirrors and a pole, and a big white fur rug, right in front of a fire-place and ..... the options are endless.... Are you talking about the bedroom or bathroom?

If you fell off this bed, you would be in a world of hurt!

Okay I'm done..... just dreanin'.....
-
Chevy- just kidding about the pole! I will stick to my second "evening job" for that activity.
Those bedrooms are beautiful and very romantic looking! The one on the bottom looks the most inviting for sleep. I love bedrooms with fireplaces in them too.
-
Oh Owlettes, internet connection problem. Then it corrected itself with out working on it? Sunspots?
Jazzy glad you are going to give it a try. Lots of nice folks. Jazzy the walk-in tubs can break the bank. It's a year since I looked at them. Still getting ads about them. Nothing I saw was cheap or at least as cheap as I wanted. If they weren't so expensive, I think they would be great. I suppose expense is relative,
Hopeful , also, glad you've come Yay. Love the wood floors. Smarrty just redid hers too. They are so warm cozy.Great looking with the antiques too
J& H prepare for your names to be changed LOL, and irreverent talk.
Smarrty, beautiful quilt, How was the retreat? The little owl bag. Did you make that? Cute.
Hi 2222222222 and Spookie, Susan, Dunes, Teka,44444444
Chevy How you turn a phrase, English Leather Tea HAHA. Yes, white sangria. Chevy oh a fall, glad you didn't get badly hurt. I hate falls they take away our sense of control. Chevy love the bwhite bedroom. Very girlie, goes well with your bathroom.
Hello, Blondie glad you are moving on to the next phase. Are you enjoying the three square meals a day?

Enerva , pretty terrarium. I've not done one,so, I think yours is purrfect

Jwooohoo your lemons are so perfect they almost seem unreal. What are you going to make?
Have a lovely day

-
Sas- I sort of figured those walk in tubs were pricey. I built my house 11 years ago, and did so in mind with aging. I wanted one story (no stairs), nothing on the roof that had to be dealt with regularly (like a swamp cooler or AC unit), and did choose to have an upgrade done to include a walk in shower stall. I also had a handicapped rail put in that shower for my mother when she visited and boy, all those things really made a big difference with me getting around this place when it all went down in 2012.
My mother used to use one of those walk in tubs when she was at one of the two longer term care places and told me how much she loved it. She said she never felt more clean coming out of one! I figured they were for the rich and famous, or the group living situations.
-
Some of you may find this interesting. The first picture is of a good shoulder. See how nice and smooth the ball of the humerus is? That's because there is a nice cushion of cartilage covering the bone so it slides easily back and forth & up and down.

This is my shoulder, about 5 years ago. See how pitted the ball is? How eroded the socket is? See that big ol honkin bone spur on the underside of the ball? Now imagine that arm rotating upwards and think where that bone spur will catch. Ouch.

Thank you for watching.
