Good Morning Ladies and one old bag.--no names mentioned.

BTW u won't find me in the ally, I don't stand under a huge lite like some women do, I'm much more discreet and my clientele is low keyed.

Like I told u before I've really limited my threads lately, but it seems so many are having a bad week, I just feel awful for everyone who's been having a tough time.

Oh Rita everytime I've made that peach thing I think of u, everyone loves it. But I did add another can of pie filling so it has more substance. It's a hit here.

Well Carole thanks for the weather report, sorry it' going way down to 60, I hope u can be warm and cuddly--Oh 60 sounds like summer right now. I went out yesterday , it was about 30 and before I went I though Oh 30 not so bad--I walk outside and it felt like 10, it had a cold damp feeling, so don't hit me with that it's only 60.

Well I hope everyone is going to have a good weekend, I kind of like going to my other DD, since I don't live with her she's always doing everything for me, believe me if we lived together she'd ignore me. I it wasn't for the fact I have to go to the bathroom, I'd never have to move. LOL

    HUGS to all

Oh NOooooooooooo! Here she goes, posting her favorite imbibements... PERsonally I like a Botche' Ball.... It's 1/2 vodka, and 1/2 Amaretto, and orange juice! With Ice, I had one yesterday up at the Casino!

You WERE in the alley.... and it's ALLEY.... not ALLY.... ! Next you'll be saying Alie, or something.... Everyone else is too polite to comment on your spelling, but well, you know.

How come you can spell discreet, and clientele, and not alley? I'm NOT an old bag! I am a rather weathered woman of years past.... Hah! I am a mere shadow of my former self. I am all but tuckered out... Hah! I think I am on the down-hill side of getting older... Next comes even OLDER.... all caps there... maybe even BOLD!

Bold would not go off! I had to post and then start again! And I point out YOUR errors.... Ha! We are a team Cammi! We are Frank and Earnest... You be Frank, and I'll be Earnest... or is it Ernest? We have to keep these women on their toes!

They just get so complacent in their posts, and we have to step in and liven things up! So you know what I did? You know how you have to post every time you take a shower, and get all trampy smelling and stuff? Well my GS gave me a gift-card to Bath and Body Works! Well I went nuts! I mean I had to set my cane down, get a huge bag, and just throw everything there WAS in a bag, because it was 75% off! OFF! I couldn't believe my luck!

And I went back 2 days ago, and went nuts yet AGAIN! You will NEVER catch up to all the bath & shower gels I bought! I have gels, sprays, and lotions abundant! I shower with one scent, then wash my hair with another, and then spray spritzer all over when I am done! I then lather on creams and lotions of yet ANOTHER fragrance. I am a walking flower. I smell like Hawaii in the Summer!

    Now beat THAT missy!

Just lost my best post yet.  Maybe later I'll try my hand at some re-creation but right now I'm frustrated by it.  Oh do I hate that.  Not sure what I did, but wondering if the page times out once in awhile as I've had the same thing happen a time or two before.

I will say though -- sending positive energies and lots of loving hugs and prayers to Blondie, Sandra and Mike.

    Blessings

I don't know if I'm envious or not. I have problems with perfume. I have to cross to the far side to get past Body Works. One perfume (I don't know which one) gives me an ice pick headache if I walk past someone wearing it.

    gemma,

Loved what you said in your post.  That is a stunning bathroom though.  Ssssh, at my age if there is no wasps or wind ( meaning we no longer have to use the outhouse ) I can be pretty cool with any functional bathroom.  Would be nice to have a truly "cozy" well designed one --- some of that in my age group likely also translates to really easy to clean.  If I ever win the lottery -- well, I might be able to have " paid " help but never won more than $100.00 at a time, so far.

I love watching HGTV as they seem to really bring some bathrooms to life -- as they are usually pretty small rooms it amazes me.

    Wren,

I can't imagine being super sensitive to smells -- especially those most of us think of as pretty darn good.  I hope it never becomes a problem for me.  I really tend to like the softer hints of smells and don't like to be too bombarded  -- but sometimes it is hard to keep some scents mild.

A lot of people are sensitive to or even allergic to perfume and cologne scents.  I don't like to be around women that reek of heavy scents.  Sorry, Chevy!

It was a beautiful day today and I was regretful that I mostly sat around the house, thanks to foot problems.  I thought about going shopping but didn't.  At least I went to the gym this morning and worked up a sweat on the elliptical.

Cammi....I am glad that you enjoy the Peach Fluff recipe. I am going to try adding the extra can and see if we like it better. It's just such a quick salad/dessert.

Carole, I hope your foot problems disappear very quickly. That's no fun, especially when the weather is so nice. We golfed today and I didn't do too bad for me. I need to work on my club choice on the par 3's on this course.

Jackie, did the furnace parts arrive and are you all ready now in case the temps go down again?

Chevy.. I just LOVE your bathroom. Hey, I could camp out in there! LOL Keep up those entertaining posts. I always end up giggling over your posts....and laughter is so good.

Hugs to Sandra, Mike, and Blondie!

Many people live as if life were a dress rehearsal for some later date.  It isn't.  In fact, no one has a guarantee that he or she will be here tomorrow.  Now is the only time we have, and the only time that we have any control over.  When our attention is in the present moment, we push fear from our minds. . . . Practice keeping your attention on the here and now.  Your efforts will pay great dividends.

Another beautiful day in the making.  We are still in our warm period and I sure like that.  Will be almost 60 again today.  Right now, less wind.  Hope we don't get as much today as yesterday.  Another couple of good days and then it will start to cool off a bit again.  Who knows how much 'cooling' as I just think it is hard to predict real patterns so much now with the g. warming we live with all the time.

We will take what comes and work with it -- whatever it is.  I have a special 'chore' today.  After I feed the feral cats I will stop at the Aldi's store on the way back home ( in these small towns, one road can pretty much get you to anywhere you need to go ) and sit in my cousin's car with her pooch while she shops in the store.  Sigh !!!  I'll love doing it for both of them but I did tell her when she got this dog that it was really too soon.  The momma dog did not get to socialize this puppy real well --- and true to form, my cousins have become FAMILY and cannot leave the dog.  We all want to be family to our pets and should be -- but hopefully, only after the momma dog has taught her puppies that it is NOT necessary for someone to be with them every second of every day.    I'm afraid my cousin has the exact same situation that they so "resented" with their last dog who finally went to the Rainbow Bridge.

Well, it is something that they don't seem to understand time wise -- so they will have another 14 or so yr. investment into their obedience to their dog.  They do love the little pup already so it is ok.  Just something I can see and know I would never want to do.

I'll be back later on so see you all then.

    Blessings

    Jackie

Scary morning. Mike collapsed again but I was standing in front of him so I held him up. He kept trying to stand but his knees would go out over and over. I kept shouting at him to sit down but I don't think he heard me. It only lasted about 30 seconds then he was able to stand alone. I made him get back in bed and he feels ok. He's under orders not to come downstairs unless I am with him. Yesterday all he ate was some chicken broth plus several Boost Plus drinks. It's just not enough. I may be taking him to the ER. Will wait and see how he is after he eats some breakfast. I took a tray upstairs with cream of wheat and toast. Time to go see what he ate. This is puzzling. His bloodwork from mid week showed his hemoglobin was over 8. That's good. It drops of course and he has to have another transfusion, but not this fast. At least not before.

Sandra, not only how frightening, but as you note, puzzling.  Could this just happen if he gets up tooo fast though I'm sure only part of the issue.   Since I haven't checked on the Internet ( boy, have we come to depend on its answers ) I wonder if specific foods would really help this --- and maybe even  ( other than maybe a trip to the bathroom ) some breakfast before REALLY getting up.

This really sounds like a part of this problem that is VERY hard to prepare for since anything could happen at almost any time.  You and Mike are definitely in my thoughts and I'm praying for this to be an odd quirk that does not re-appear.

Things are much better. Getting some calories into Mike helped and he feels much better. I think he was just weak because of lack of food combined with the reduced amount of oxygen that's getting to his brain. Even though his hemoglobin was a little over 8 a few days ago, it could have dropped off quickly. An 8 is pretty bad but it's better than 6 before Christmas.

Cammi, what is the Peach Fluff recipe? It sounds delicious

Carole, I hope your foot problems disappear

    Chevy.. LOVE your bathroom.

Sandra, you and Mike are in my thoughts and prayers. Please take care of yourself too.

Blondie, hope everything is healing quickly. Sending hugs

Today is nice here. A little chilly but not bad. We are to have more snow on Tuesday. My sister called today to let us know my uncle pasted away last night. He seemed to be doing better and then took a turn for the worst. They were preparing to send him to hospice last night but past away during that time. Everyone thought it would be his wife first since she has been ill for a long time.

Went shopping for some new dress clothes. Since I quite working in an office and went to work with kids my dress clothes are not fitting anymore. Bought two tops and a pretty gray sweater. My dress slacks are still ok. I love shopping for the grandkids outfits but hate shopping for myself.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Sandra (and Mike) I am sending healing thoughts your way.....how terrible when Mike collapses and you had surgery not that long ago....I think catching hubby would be instinctual but NOT a RX for your recovery.

Did the doc say they have a match for Mike? (Could his sister agreed to it, but wanted to remain anonymous?)

Here are several pic of Sandra on the cruise to Alaska (I only saw her 3 times on the ship, the pics show 2 of the times, the other time we spotted Mike and Sandra were dancing, but continued on our way as I was pooped, my feet hurt and we were/are very early risers and I was tired.

This is Sandra as the leader of our cruise critic get together.....everyone was saying it was a really fun get together to meet online friends!

My surgery for Tues. was cancelled as PS is concerned that I have pain on my chest wall and he wanted to talk to my BS (she is in Hawaii until tonight) and get an MRI ordered.....this was after I was MARKED with a BLACK Sharpie felt pen for my upcoming surgery......I think it is due to my implant moving toward my side/armpit.....I will get anatomicals cohesive Allergan Natrelles 410's, when it happens.....maybe in a few weeks

    Hugs to All
