Oncowarrior of course the historical reason for the colourful houses in Irish towns is so that you could find your house after a night out!

Yeah, so Spookers thinks I was THERE when they built it! Smart-a$$...Hah! Darned near! I have lived in this neighborhood since about 1945 I think... We used to play with the kids that grew up in this house!

There is a "canal" running by here... next to our property.... It's just an irrigation ditch... a "water-way" that used to supply the Farmers further North with water for their farms.

And that is where we "lived"... My Brother and I and all the neighbor kids, building rafts, and jumping over it every day... And that is where we see Foxes, Raccoons, frogs, snakes, mice, and Owls! All the creatures follow this ditch/water-way down from the Mountains... It isn't running except in the Summer, sometimes. A couple of times we have seen a Coyote fooling around down there.. It's funny, how when it is running in the Summer, I can "smell" that same smell, from when I was a kid... and that memory takes me right back to being 10 years old again... Oh shut up Spookers!
