Hair growth after chemo.

Hello All, I have finished my chemo on 11/6/14. Still on Herceptin until July. I have some hair, but my scalp is itchy and red spots. Any suggestions on what shampoo to use ?? something to stimulate the scalp :) I am still wearing my wig to work and when I go out of the house. I am so ready for my hair to come back! Thanks Sheila

    Hi Sheila6.  I guess some things depend on if you've already had scalp issues and your level of sensitivity to products.  I hear some people swear by biotin shampoo.  I used a Lush product, solid shampoo bar that had cinnamon and other things in there that was supposed to "rejuvinate" the scalp.  Some people do find it drying though.  I liked it.

    I had major dryness and itchiness soon after my hair started growing again. I used a dandruff shampoo and that helped.

    Thanks ChemicalWorld. I am taking Biotin supplement daily. I have never heard of biotin shampoo or the Lush products. I will check them out!

    Thanks Tangaandchris. I will give it a try. My head is itchy. I am hoping that means that I will be getting more hair soon!
