Did anyone else here get a Transderm-Scop patch put on after surgery? It was to help with the dizziness and nausea after surgery. This thing has given me worse side effects than anything! My vision is totally messed up. I removed it two days ago and it's still not right. I cannot read anything up close with my glasses on. My pupils are dilated. They said it was a side effect that would wear off in 24 hrs after removal. I also feel like my entire body has less feeling than it did. On top of dealing with this diagnosis I have to deal with these weirdo side effects. If they offer to put this on you don't do it! I've found a ton of reviews online from people who have taken months to get over the side effects.

I had the patch for my 7/30 and 12/19 surgeries, but I put it on the night before surgery and took it off 72 hrs later. I had no problems or side effects. I did have a tiny bit of nausea in recovery on the 12/19 surgery, but they gave me a pill and it went away. Everybody's different, I guess. Sorry you had problems; hope you feel better.

I learned the hard way that if you get some of the substance on your fingers during removal of the patch and rub your eyes, they'll dilate. Usually lasts up to 48 hours. This may explain matters but then again, you could be very sensitive to the ingredients which doesn't sit well. So sorry it caused more problems than it solved.
