    Thank you Thamil,

I don't know how I feel most of the time now! Its still a bit surreal. How many weeks of rads did you have? Be been told 4-6. Did you need any other treatment? How much time off did you need? How did the rads make you feel?

My BS said I wouldn't be able to work during it. I think it may be due to the travel time. The hospital is over an hour away and from work even further. I'm still feeling out of control! I need to know more!

Shaz, Take a deep breath and let it out slowly.  You will be fine.  I finished rads today.  I had 33 treatments, 28 full and 5 boosts.  I didn't take any time off from work, and did them on my lunch hour.  I am still a little burnt, but nothing a little Aloe can't heal.  My longest rad appointment was maybe 1 hour, and that was with seeing the doctor.  Most of the time, it was usually 30 minutes from the time I got out of my car to the time I got back into my car.  Piece of cake, sweetie!!!!!

    NoMatterWhat, thank you so much.

CONGRATULATIONS I'm so pleased your treatment went so well. Do you still have moments of insanity?

I'm OK again now. Lol my surgery is on Tuesday and I just can't wait until its over. I won't get the results until the 21st though. I just have to be patient. Does the surgeon come around and tell you how the op went after surgery?

I can't imagine why you couldn't work during rads, unless you have very unusual side effects. Someone said it took her 30 minutes. I'd say mine took 15 minutes and that's probably overestimating it. However, you have to drive there and back, so add that time. I didn't feel a thing from rads the entire time, just got tired of driving there every day.

Thanks winningsofar, I think it must be due to the traveling. The hospital is about 1.5 hours away from my work and 1hour from my home (not rush hour). So I guess that is why. It has confused me though, because I thought I could at least work a little. I do have income protection so maybe that is a consideration. I feel like an idiot because I've already told my employer I can't work, argh.

Too bad shaz since working would be good to pass the time, and get paid too! Nothing wrong with that. Well, maybe you can find something else you can do, volunteer-wise. There's nothing about rads that makes you the least sick (at least that's my experience).

I no longer have to wait 3 weeks, I got a call they want to see me this Tuesday. I am looking forward to going back to work. The first two weeks I am only going to work part time to see how my body feels. All the best on your surgery.

That's fantastic news! Please let me know how you go. I hope work isn't too tiring for you. It's great that they are letting you work part time. It's odd, I miss work already. I think I relate it to being normal. Thank you I will let you now how I go x

I also have fibrocystic breast. Had a lump removed 26 years ago which turned out to be benign. I am having an excisional biopsy on Monday due to Pleomorphic Calcifications. Can anyone tell me, do these types of calcifications appear with fibrocystic breast ?  Also the calcifications are in a clustered shape, wanted to mention that also.

                                                                                                           Thank you,
