And what style did you give yourself Wren? I don't think I ever did anything like that... too busy eating the paste.
-
Mom hated bangs so I always had my hair in a barrette to keep it out of my eyes. I just picked up the barrette and cut off everything below it. Then I took all the hair and put it in my crayon box which was an old kitchen match box. When I got married, I cut bangs and have had them ever since. My hair grows forward from the crown on top and I've decided to just like what it wants to do.
That paste was good, wasn't it?

Thank you everyone for the kind words about my furry and fleshy children
Andrea, I find that height discrepancy interesting. My dad was just 6' and I am 5'10". My mom was the shortest in our family at 5' 6". I always assumed that children would tend to be taller than their parents.
Idesim, I went out for PT and groceries today - it didn't seem as cold as I thought it would be! Glad for working heat. Hope you are toasty!
Delirium Pie, How can you have a pup bigger than Ava? 70 lbs seems so large... I think that I had issues 3 weeks out from BMX - nerves starting waking up... good insight
M, hope appointment, shopping and lunch went swimmingly - I am afraid I missed the bag for that. All these threads are definitely confusing.
bobo, it's late here and I am confused - do you work on Friday? sending positive energy... 6 hours of teaching sounds long - do you stand for the entire 6 hours? sending more positive energy... What age/subject do you teach? Maybe you need to sit and use an overhead projector? Takeout does sound good.
NDgirl, I admire your hardiness - my internal thermostat is whacked right now. I have no ability to deal with any extremes in temp.
Zills, hopefully BG will not trim Sasafire (dog or cat?)...
Glennie, hoping that big beautiful Ava girl is having a well-ness check-up and not a sick visit. Missed the bag for that one as well...
-
Sasafire black lab and 70+ lbs. Already had a biting incident. BG bit her ear.
Hope no scissors. Caught her eyeing the ones at school. Boy probably closer to cutting his own hair. DH got him buzzed but left a fringe of bangs. Boy itching to cut them.
-
GS#1 found them, cuts some hunks out of his hair. Then decided bro needed some hunks cut out. Barber shops and buzz cuts fixed it

Ava got a laser treatment on her shoulder. We don't know why she has been limping for over a month. X-Rays show nothing. Had no injury. And she has strangely lost almost 5 lbs for no reason. Eats like a horse and doesn't exercise much. Will see if the laser helps, if not, next step is an ultrasound.
She is not good with dogs bigger than her,,,, something left over from her past before she was rescued. In the next circle, the "stoner" guy has 2 pit bulls. The puppy which Ava was ok with, is all grown up now. That one was lunging on the leash to get her. The other dog was OFF LEASH, and Ava was terrified. Hair standing up down her back. I think the other dog was going to start something. The guy is telling me, oh she just wants to sniff Ava, but there was aggressive behavior so we got the hell out of there. Ava was in a hurry to get away from them. She's good with smaller dogs, cuz she doesn't feel threatened by them. I'm peeved this guy has this young strong pit bull off leash. I had heard the other neighbors with small dogs complaining about them, but I didn't see their behavior before today. Not good. He needs to keep that dog under control and train her better.
I'm only 5'3". My Mom was 5'7" before she started shrinking. My brothers are 6 foot each. I don't know what happened to me. I am the runt of the litter.
**waving to all** work time,,,,

nd Frisco is on the metroplex. About 45 minutes from me. I am actually in ft worth side now not Dallas but I will always be a Dallas gel in my mind. Good for the team! That stain in Frisco is very nice, especially considering it is for kids. Lol
Yes bobo I have found the 3 week rule to be true statistically. And not just with medical things. With all things.
Daisy, my Reggie has actually lost some weight. He was only 112 on last trip to vet. Reggie thinks Ava is pretty. He would sit and stare at her picture from Xmas card. It was funny. So I tease about how she is his long distance girlfriend.
Poor Ava. They need to get to the bottom of this.
-
Glennie, Sorry for Ava. Did they check for Lyme Disease? My dogs have always gone lame in one leg when they have it... Belly rubs for Ava...
-
DP - that is very funny about the pic of Ava. Reggie weighs 112 lbs? He must be very well behaved. He doesn't join you on beds or couches then? Would love to see a pic. Hope you are well today.
-
Zills, I am chuckling. Thanks for that. I would like to see a pic of Sasafire as well...
-
Daisy, thank you for the advice. If the limp continues, I'll ask for that on the next vet visit. -
Glennie, ds has a golden lab and last summer he had Lyme disease, he was limping and in pain, vet gave him some meds and in just a few days was fine. Said it is easier to cure animals than humans. Might be with. Mention to vet.
-
If she keeps limping, I will definitely do that. She did ask me the first time I took her in for the limp,,, if she had any tick bites. And I didn't think so, but who knows? She could have had one that I didn't see. -
There is also such thing as tick paralysis, but she does not have that or you would know it by now, just fyi for the future. May vets don't think of it and it can kill a dog within hours. All you have to do is take off the tick.Reggie thinks he is a lap dog. Both he and his 70 brother Toby sleep with me. And Toby dominates the couch.
-
Their heads are bigger than all ofSpookie! But that wouldn't stop me from kissing those noses. And even though she's only 8#, she can take up a lot of bed.
-
Cute pics... Reggie is ds's dogs name too.
-
Love black labs. My granddog is one.
-
Love the pics - they look like lap dogs to me
Very handsome boys.
Deer ticks that carry Lyme around here are the size of a sesame seed - very difficult to see on a dog.
-
this is a pic of ds' Reggie, Felix the cat and a retired dh! We were watching the grand kids and lots of laundry around at that house!
-
ndgirl, that is the coolest picture. DH looks very relaxed amidst the laundry! Felix is beautiful - looking straight at the camera? Reggie is just as relaxed as DH. He is one handsome big boy. Do exercise him a lot to get that level of calm? Or is he just a mellow guy? Does Felix like or tolerate Reggie? Thanks for sharing!
I have a dog and 2 cats. They really calm my spirit. Wore my wig for the first time yesterday - Max gave it a sniff and moved on... weirdly reassuring that I am still me... slightly balding, flat and fabulous (love that word)
embrace the weekend!
-
Love the photo too! The fireplace looks so cozy and inviting!!
What a morning! Had a good nights sleep then awoke at 7:00 to my poor Lucky making this horrible noise downstairs. Literally sounded like he was crying "OWWW!". So my husband proclaims " dog is crapping"(exact word)and I better go clean it up.
Long story short There was much mess to clean up and every time he went he wailed. This really was a two person job....and where was my DH?? I could hear him snoring. Then as i got back into bed half an hour later feeling queasy from the smell downstairs he got out of bed all perky declaring it was time to start the day. I told him it would have been nice to have had help with Lucky. He said I handled it fine. Then he woke me up to ask when we were married (getting new passports). I am thinking he doesnt watch 20/20....some wives have killed for less!!!!!
-
Love the picture, ND. Looks very homey and comfortable.Andrea: Poor Lucky. And poor you having to do the clean-up w/o help! Booo on hubby.
-
Andrea, ROFL. I also watch 20/20 and 48hours and Dateline - DH calls them my "murder shows". Always the spouse... of course, none of them are getting away with it... Hope Lucky is feeling better. And, you are well rested.
-
He's safe. I would never actually physically kill someone.
Mentally...now thats a different story. Lol
-
Andrea! I don't know who is worse, DLLP or DH. Poor Lucky!!! Is he okay?! Doesn't DH know you have a beautiful vagina? What is wrong with him?!
Idesim, how are you feeling?? You were not feeling that well earlier. DP, mall was a bust for me, there is nothing to buy there. I am a Euro size 29 or 30 in pants. But they must be long enough. Got the kids some new school clothes, their clothes look very ragged. And, to make myself feel better, got myself a 50 percent off tea mug with a strainer in it and a top! I love it! Previously I was making loose tea in DLLP's push-down coffee maker.
-
Bobo, For those of us in the US, what size would that be approximately.
-
Bobo: bummer on not finding any clothes for yourself. The tea mug sounds nice. What did you eat today? I hope you had something yummy. -
wren I wanted to know too! According to ebays conversion chart, it's a zero! Bobo we still love you:)
Today was boy's bday. He's six. Was awake at 6:30! Just finished the day with cake and ice cream and a chocolate milkshake.
I so need a nap. Going to have to buckle down and send BG back to her bed in the middle of the night. I know she doesn't feel great but can't keep this up for the next six months.
-
Happy Birthday to Boy!!! -
I'm feeling much better today, still kind of feel like I'm coming down with something, but I don't have that damn headache. Did a lot of housework, took down the Christmas cards.. boo hoo. Doesn't Xmas seem like ages ago???
Daisy, are you happy with your wig? Did you go for something different or do like me.. same ol same ol! They feel awful at first, but you get used to it real fast... I never got ready so fast in the mornings as I did when wearing a wig and my hair never looked better lol.
Bobo, you're a size 0? How can there even be a size 0? It's 0! You'll be shopping in tall girls section soon.. you and princess will be wearing the same clothes... I think the princess is going to be rather tall.
Love all the pictures.. love the name Felix.. Felix the cat and love how Felix looks to be eyeballing the camera... what ham.
Happy Birthday to the boy.. as I have several times in the past, I wish I lived closer.. I'd be happy to take BG for the night or take the kids out for a bit while you take a nice nap.
So strange not hearing from M, isn't it? I haven't read the other thread, which I shall do now.
