Swelling after mastopexy--how long?

I had a mastectomy with immediate reconstruction using Alloderm on my right breast in July. After completing chemo, I had my left breast lifted and had nipple reconstruction on my right breast.  Three weeks out, my left breast is still very swollen and noticably larger than my right breast (650 cc silcone round implant), but my surgeon told me that it could take up to three months for the swelling to completely subside.  My PS has been great and I have total confidence in her, but three months seems like along time.  I would appreciate the feedback of anyone who has been where I am.
