    I changed my browser from Android 4 to Dolphin. Letters and words are keeping up now. My problem is solved. Didn't think browser would matter, but it did.

    The "the website is under heavy load" warning can pop up. it is likely the load on the server that carries this website and many others reaches an occasional peak. It is not a fault but a very temporary hiatus.

    Yes the button color has seemed to change (it is not just your computer/browser).

    Still having problems using my IPad on this site. My cursor ends up in the task bar and it takes some jiggling to make it appear in the message box. Text cannot keep up and is sluggish. If I have to backspace to correct one letter, the back spacing often just keeps going to erase more letters than I want erased. Takes forever to write a response to someone.

    For me, what had been happening, and is randomly happening still is, I will go to write a post and so I will click on the touchpad to anchor the cursor in the corner where you would normally start to write. And then randomly, the cursor would jump and disappear, sometimes taking me to a page I had read earlier on another favorite topic, or it would jump out of the field of view and wouldn't reappear till I would waggle my finger on the touchpad! Yeah, Its not doing it in other places I write online though.

    I do like how the text on a long post disappears under the emoticon/link bar, what ever that's called! first time it freaked me out, I thought it had went away, I guess that's the scroll bar exbronxgrl was talking about. And I also do have the lag in spelling still, although not as bad as it was...

    Thanks ladies for your reports -- we're passing all of this along to the tech team. They seem to think it has something to do with amount of memory on the device and the age of the devices you're using.

    In addition to the type of device, operating system, and browser you're using, could you also let us know the age of the device? Thanks so much for your patience while we try to sort this out!

    I put this on another thread but am copying it here's: This has always been a problem for me, but I'm finally getting around to asking about it. Of all the websites I visit, breastcancer.org loads the slowest. I can visit amazon, gmail, facebook, cell phone website, pinterest, any network news site (you get the picture) and the page loads quickly.

    There is always a lag with bc.org. This happens on my laptop, ipad and desktop computer. It takes so long sometimes to log in to the site, then go to fav topics then click on links. When I go to post, there's a lag when I hit submit, and always a lag to get to the edit page.

    My computer is a number of years old, the laptop I got a couple ole years ago, but I just got the iPad this summer and I still have a slow time with bc.org pages loading. How can the age of what I use make a difference when I have no lag or slowness related to accessing any other website?

      So still having the ipad problems as is everyone BUT here is what I just discovered, if you go into the Preview mode, you can type like normal no lagging, tell the techs all this started when Apple did the IOS 8.1 upgrad

      Mrs M if you look at the bottom of the box where you type it says "Preview" and "Submit", I type a single letter and then go into preview and type away as normal, I discovered this by accident as those of us who use iPads know it's been changing words lately so you'll type something then submit and when you look it's not what you typed but what Apple thinks you wanted to type so I went into edit and discovered I could type normally instead of type a letter wait 20 seconds, type another letter, I did turn off the auto correct on my iPad to no avail and  I feel bad about the issues as I know a lot of the Stage IV ladies use iPads and I think a lot of us are having problems, I know for me I've stopped posting like I used to as I'm usually on late at night after work/gym/dinner and I'm tired and then I get frustrated.

      thanks for the info Cheryl. It may work for you but it doesn't seem to work for me. The lag I have is when the website is loading and when the different threads on the website are loading. I don't have any lag with the typing on the ipad

      Like hbcheryl, my iPad has gone very glitchy since the iOS 8.1 update. It has made editing very difficult.

      Extremely slow loading here. Just posted and it took about a minute to activate. Threads are loading slow as well. I've experienced intermittent slow loads recently at BCO but not a lot. My system is a dated desktop, but maintained and clean. No other sites are giving me these problems and are snappy. Mods, techs know troubleshooting is typically a process of elimination. What about server over loads caused by a DDoS attack or something?

      I had that problem earlier too. Figured a way around it though. Sometimes, going to first page then last page did the trick. If not, I "forced" last page by posting something at the bottom of that current page, after adding it brought to the last post/page correctly.

      Mods, here's a couple of glitches Ive been seeing for a while. Not all the time, just at random. Not sure if it's been mentioned before...

      1/ now and then I see (top most Forum page) some details missing under a particular Forum. Yesterday it was the Lymphoedema Forum.

      2/ Within that same Forum, there's a post that registers as 0 posts from redsun

      3/ The 2 above screengrabs were done yesterday. This a.m. in the LE forum I see the redsun post stays at the top of the list (other than your pinned post) even though theres a later post

      XP SP3, FF - (NOT self updating as I refuse to upgrade past V28, because FF are adopting "features" at the expense of having a less secure browser.)

      Would be keen to hear if anyone else has or is seeing this as I'm curious. I'm not seeing this behaviour on other sites I visit.
