Oncotype & Tomoxifien

I just met with my 1st oncologist yesterday & I'm so confused as to what to do. My oncotype is a 6, which is 5% reoccurance rate with 5 years of Tamoxifien. She said we will do 2-3 yrs of Tamoxifien & then we have other options to continue.....shots to stop ovaries with an AL included.....just an AL.......or I can get my ovaries removed too which she said is extreme. My question is that with ILC how many of you have not done chemo & only started on Tamoxifien & are doing well??? I wasn't expecting the 6 on the oncotype & thought my age/3 cm tumor would still have chemo being given. I want to make sure I do everything that I can.

    I think you fall in that irksome grey zone, both because of the low onco score (which is a GOOD thing, by the way) and the fact that you had no nodes involved.

    The most sensible thing is probably to get a second opinion, but what the onc is telling you sounds reasonable, as far as I can see. Hopefully others will weigh in too.
