I'm having a lot of skin issues with rads. After 18/27 treatments, I have terrible hot spots. My RO is very good, and I'm convinced it's my skin, not a problem with the treatments. I've been given 5 different creams, which I use religiously. Yesterday, when I went in, they were concerned because the skin underneath my breast is sloughing off and they're afraid I'll end up with an open sore. The RO said that when/if that happens, they'll use honey patches. Apparently, they've had great success with them.

Has anyone been treated with them?

    Thanks!

I think this is similar to what they're talking about using:

I apologize if this has been previously discussed, but I didn't find it on a search.

Hi meanmonto3! I haven't had any wounds myself but at my previous job, I did do a lot of wound care and honey is a hot topic. Here's a link that discusses a little bit about honey works if you want more information (it is not specific to cancer related wounds but wound care in general). http://www.woundsinternational.com/practice-develo...
