Late effect of radiotherapy?

I finished radiotherapy (3 weeks of) approx 4 months ago. Initially I had some general redness but nothing too bad. After a couple of weeks redness settled and I have been left with some pain in the breast which I expected. What I am concerned about is the nipple. I have noticed it keeps developing thick dry flakes of yellowish skin and is over sensitive, it also seems to swell up behind the nipple.

Has anyone else had this particularly so long after finishing rads?

I saw my onc for a check up a few weeks ago and at that time I thought the nipple was okay and didn't even mention it to her and she didn't examine me on that occasion as I said everything was fine :(

Any advice welcome!

    Hi Crestie ....yes had the same thing happen to me .....yellowish dead flakes of skin ...everything looked

    raw for a few months.... but at 6 months or so all was fine ......smooth and back to normal .....nipple looks just like it did before .... 

    I used emu oil a lot and it helped .

    I think I will just keep an eye on it for a couple of months and if it gets worse or doesn't improve I will see a Doctor.
