2nd u scared me
-
Blondie, hope you see the humor, if you know me, I can't give up BCO, it's my lifeline to reality (or insanity depending how you look at it). I could give up 15 minutes, though.

This has happened, no lie

I didn't read when I posted on page 305. Catching up now so sorry about Moira BC sucks.
-
22222.lol you so had me going. I had to read it three times to get it.
-
2ndTimeAround you're hilarious!!
And that one you posted about putting things in a safe place and then forgetting where the safe place is (know it well, have the patent) - DH calls that "outsmarting yourself".

Okay, I'm done with lessons. I've learned about BC sx and recon, brain tumors and sx, treatment induced goiters, thyroid cancer and treatment with RAI-131and all it's compications, treatment induced bladder stones(4), Pain, > 3 years of treatment induced eczema variable body parts, Infections using novel treatments, many drugs that have attempted to mame or kill me. I've learned Kubler-Rosses five stages of grief in losing DH. No more lessons, my seat can go empty. please. I quit school.
-
I'm with you on that one, Sassy. Too many lessons learned this past year, will not elaborate on this fun thread. Maybe we can skip class together.
-
Yeah a crash course in breast cancer and breast reconstruction wasn't in my plans! It is what it is.
Sas, you gone through way too much.

I am with you Sas. When my DH said back in 2006 -" will you quit that damn job.".. and I said, "do you really mean it??" DH replied "YEP! I would rather you be home with our three daughters (6,11,12 -oldest being MR autistic deaf and lots of work)." I threw my badge and letter on the managers desk and never looked back. I thought YAY I never have to smell another alcohol square again or see the inside of a hospital... no more working holidays and weird hours!!! (Not that being a mother to three kids isn't WORK but at least then I just had one job - not 2!!)
Then not even a year later, the day after Christmas I got sacked with stage 3A BC back into more medical care then I have ever had... then stage 4 and life long. I hate it. I do not feel grateful... it pisses me off. I so wanted to ditch the whole medical everything and be FREE not to think about any of it. Just get old and play in my garden with my pets and be a Mom. Then my oldest kid got end stage liver failure and my other kid a bipolar diagnosis (the joys of adoption where you have zero to go on for family medical hx). OY!! Back to the books... reading internet articles and books on subjects I NEVER thought about before. It just doesn't end... What a stinkin jip - I retired!!! Grrrrrr... ok rant over. Just thought I should add my middle kid is doing great! My liver failure kid is stable and doing well with medical management and new meds for mood disorders are insanely expensive and work really well! I got my daughter back! So I am grateful for that - but not cancer. cancer sucks.
We are going to go see the movie into the Woods.. Fantasy yay!!!
