results were supposed to be in today

So I had a core needle biopsy last thursday. They took 5 tissue samples and said that the results would be in within 3-4 days and I would get them today. I'm nervous because they never called and my nurse practioner was going to call me as soon as the lab sent them unless they had to run additional tests. I guess I'm just super nervous now.

    So sorry they did not get back with you, that is the hardest part waiting. I would call them in the morning. I'm shy about calling and asking but I did this regarding a test result this last week and it helped move things along. It's sad to say but sometimes the squeaky wheel gets the grease..... My best to you and sometimes if they are not urgently contacting you may mean it's not a positive result. That would be the way I looked at it at least tonight. Hugs to you :)

    I know how you feel. I had my biopsy last Tuesday and they told me I would get the results tomorrow or Tuesday. I feel like I have this black cloud hanging over my head and it's ruining my day. I would definetly call first thing in the morning as well. Were in this together so if you need support feel free to write. It does help.

    I would call in the morning too.

    It is the worst time of year with the Holidays, I was in this situation 2 years ago when had my surgery right before Christmas. I had to wait well into the New Year for the final Pathology results which sent me crazy.

    I wish each of you, all the best, don't read anything negative into the results not being back yet. It will be because of time of year. I know it doesn't make it any easier, the waiting is brutal, no matter when it is.
