I am having stabby, shooting pains right where my drain was located, about 6-8 inches below my armpit.

I had my UMX on Nov 17 and the drain was piled five days ago.

When does it stop? The only thing that stops it is when I lie down

I am updating in case anyone else has this same question.

Two days ago, almost a month since my UMX, I woke up and the nerve pain was gone. The drain site also started to itch, which is a sign of healing.

I am so relieved because it was quite painful, especially after my plastic surgeon have me my first fill in my TE.

Sometimes it can be scar tissue or adhesions that are causing that kind of pain. Have you been doing PT exercises to stretch, or massage for the possibility of adhesions? I found that even though I did all of these things, I still have a spot where my drain was, which can be a little sore if I turn a certain way.

As Lily and kicks said, check with your Doctor if it continues, Keep an eye on it for any redness or swelling, but it is still early days for you and it may just resolve on its own, like Luckydog's did. All the best with it.
