Finding the best surgical team

Hello,

I just turned 42, and was diagnosed last Friday with DCIS stage 1.

I live in Oklahoma, and want to make sure I find the best surgical team for my situation. I have no problems traveling, but really don't know where to start.

I have read about each of the reconstructive options, and now want to look into my options in terms surgeons.

What do you suggest?

Thank you for any feedback. I am very solution oriented, and am excited to move to the next step in terms of my treatment.

    can you clarify your dx? DCIS is stage 0. Do you have IDC as well?

    Thank you for your quick reply.

    I do not have IDC, only DCIS. I do have family history of breast and ovarian cancer. I believe that is the reason for the aggressive approach. Plus the fact I am only 42.

    I am very new in this whole situation, so if there is other info I am leaving out, please ask me. I feel confused about my next step, and want to make educated decisions.
