I would think such a large and sucessful company such as Disney, who also would LOVE some really " good " pr might just have some department to accommodate such things.
just food for thot.......dont know if it would work or not
dont know how big a town or city they live in but maybe a " boot Block " might gets some good bucks. I see them a lot for many different reasons.
what a shame this is -
can you do a spaghetti dinner at your church?
we did that for a part timer at work with no paid sick time.....i made my dh play piano for free and we had door prizes and a 50/50 draw.
i got the doorprizes donated from my salon, my butcher, my tanning salon, a local winery and a local grocer......then we raffled them off.
i also got all of the noodles and bread etc donated......i made a giant pot of sauce........we charged 10 bucks a head.
we raised a ton of money for this guy......sadly he is still off work and so am i so i'm not sure how he is doing, but i know we got him through the worst of it. -
Thanks for the great suggestions gals, I will let you know hwo this turns out. I wish I could buy their tickets myself but I am behind on my own doctor bills (deductibles, etc.)

Hello,
My name is Sharon and I was diagnoised with colon cancer in April of this year,As it started in my colon,I did have the surgery on my colon and they got the cancer there out,but once they open me and done the surgey they seen I had small tumors lining my stomach and said I had them for years. If it wasn't for my colon acting up I would of never known, Now I know why its called the silent killer, I may not be in the right place but I need info, I don't know how much time I have on this earth. Only the Good Lord knows. But I have one wish and its not for me but for my only grandson. We always talked about going to Disney World and Mamaw always said that one day we would. But I am unable to work anymore and I live with my mother who has copd. I actully moved in with my mother to take care of her she is 76.I was working at a hotel which I loved very much as I am a people person an have been doing it for over 8 years. But after this I was unable to work and now my mother takes care of me again.I have my chemo every 3 weeks and take chemo pills in between. I try to spend every minute with my grandson and as much time with my family. I am blessed everyday the Lord gives me to be with my family. My question is who do I get in touch with about helping me keep a promise to a wonderful little man who worries about his mamaw when he's not with me as he is 7 yrs old and my world rises and sets on him.Any info would be helpful
Thank You & Bless You

We were talking about this recently on the recurrence and metastatic disease section. "stage 4" started a thread asking about a possible final vacation. There are several sites posted to that thread. I have heard that Disney has a charity for adults; I would even swear that I was once on the website for it. Unfortunately, I did not bookmark the page and can't find it again!

She has lost 8 lbs. in a week and 1/2. WE donot see 6 monys in her future.I am searching some hope for finanical grant or anything to help her husband to take her where she wants to go one last time before she is to ill to leave her bed. They have no money. Her husband had his leg removed 3 months ago because of circulation problems. So they are living on social security. Trying to pay their bills and rent. I would love to help them in any way I can. This website was given to me. It is for women with stage 4 breast cancer. They grant wishes on a first come first served basis. It might be worth checking out.

I have a question maybe someone out there can help me with this my cousin has cancer and she takes treatments 3 days a week and has to pay a co payment of 50.00 for every treatment, which is getting to be really expensive. Is there any organizations out here that helps the cancer patient with co payments? Any assistance with this would be appreciated.
Thank you
-
Thank you and what do you know about the organization?
-
^ I would recommend googling the company name and seeing what comes up. I wish you good luck and hopefully they (or somebody else) will be able to help your cousin out with those copayments.
Good luck! -
